Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[SPOILERS] Rowain and the USA

Never could stand those Gondwanians, anyways. Our destiny clearly lies in glorious Kazakhstania!

Good luck in the coming turns, I'll read along happily.

No ,no that is the wrong attitude nono . Those Gondwanians are Kzakhstanis in potentia. We just have to convince them wink

Thanks I'll need it smile

On to turn 3 Moved the Warrior but sadly the woodlands block contact. So another turn needed.
Looking at the borders makes clear that it is a CS and going by the colour I think a commercial one.

I hope I'm the first.
Afterwards I 'll turn southward as the settler-view showed another coastal tile in the north.

The CS is Zanzibar and I'm it's first contact.
It's current Task is triggering the Eureka for Masonry which is a bummer as so far I have not seen any stone at all.

The warrior will cross the river next turn (SW to the floodplain) and then follow the river south.

3 more turns happened but nothing interesting except the fact that Washington is now size 2 and the score-board sees me in the lead with 7 points over the pack with 6 smile

1 Barbscout sighted west of Zanzibar.

My lead was only shortlived as this turn Kaiser got a civic and grew a pop:

Moving my warrior revealed another border

Bacchus is the first with a new tech. suboptimal has now a second pop. Only Ichabod is still at 6 points.
To optimize scouting I moved a bit further south-east. Discovered another river. Next turn I can move Southwest+west and perhaps get contact.

Contact!

It is Arabia. suboptimal makes the same amount of science(3.6) and culture(1.7) as myself but he makes 4.2 f/t eek

A barb-camp spawned south of Zanzibar. My slinger completed and I started a Warrior. Tech: learned Mining started Pottery.

Turn 11
Lets start with the score:

we left off with contact with Arabia . Overview on where the Arabian capital is located (his scout is included):

And now lets take a look at it:

That's a really nice capital. 2 2f2p tiles and tiles for easy Eurekas. Going by the picture he is currently producing a Unit. I hope he gets some Barbs to slow him a bit.

suboptimal produced a slinger. And I found 2 new CS (no contact yet) . In the west a faith-CS very close to Arabias capital.

In the south a Science CS which looks to be very close to me. Sadly I scouted northwest first.

Finishing Code of Law pushed my score to 11 points too. Started Foreign trade.

New policies are the standard ones +1 faith and coin and +5 vs Barbs.
That gives me 2 fpt but suboptimal with his 4.2 will get first pick on Pantheon.

The religious CS is Jerusalem which acts as a holy city for your religion if you are suzerain. It has currently 1 civ influencing it which turns out to be suboptimal (as expected). Task: Great Scientist

The science CS is Hattusa which grants any strategic resource you have discovered but don't own. It's task is building a Heavy Chariot. Hattusa is influenced by an unmet Civ. Given that Kaiser has just completed another tech( and gained 1 pop) I assume it is him. So I have Japan somewhere in the south/southeast.

My capital also gets visited by a Barbscout.
