A bunch of barb camps spawned, settlers are en route. Expecting the extra gold from camps, I bring a slinger back towards Agra -- he will be upgraded and then go occupy a hill towards Hattusa, just to ensure Rowain doesn't try any funny stuff there.

Rowain signed peace with Hattusa. Very good news, that city is now mine for sure. Otherwise not much happening, except that the ridiculous Brussels swarm delayed my settler by a turn. I hope this doesn't deteriorate further.
There are still just two districts in the game -- what I assume must be Kaiser's Holy Site, and somebody's campus. My Holy Site completes the turn after next.
Battlecry Warrior ran into the camp, dealing 57 damage. Will clear next turn for +50 gold, very handy for purchasing a builder in the eastern city.

Down south, I run into a spearman from the city-state of Preslav, which gives me a very nice quest -- train a Varu. If I manage to suzerain Preslav, I will have access to unit with a defacto strength of 50 in hills. Lol. I need to check whether Diplomatic League (two envoys instead of 1 when you send the first envoy) works with quest fulfilment. Even if it doesn't, I am getting the envoy from mysticism soon enough. Having the +2 cogs to unit construction is not too shabby either. Preslav has an envoy from someone to my east, but its location actually makes clear that there is really no-one to my south-west for a long, long, long time. And across mountains.
In the north, you can see trouble. Civ6 does not allow you to cancel trade routes, so I have to just grit my teeth and see what happens. The amount of bad luck that had to come together to make this happen is quite uncanny. Firstly that camp had to spawn in the one unbusted tile between me and Hattusa, then the scout, after spawning on my side of the camp had to run in a very particular way, and the trader had to be just in the right place. I don't think I made a mistake here, but if the trader croaks, it will be a major setback.
I still don't have contacts, so you will have to compare how I'm doing on economy by manually comparing screenies. I can only see Rowain, who has now almost caught up on science, but still makes only half my culture. This is partly due to having twice my military. I am starting to fix that next turn. Holy Site will complete, triggering State Workforce, and Builder will pasture triggering Horseback Riding. I will use the civic swap to implement Maneuver and Urban Planning, enabling Agra to knock out a Varu, yielding me a envoy in Preslav. I might have to delay the Varu just a little to complete Political Philosophy and grab DiploLeague to avoid losing the bonus envoy.
Delhi has started Henge, which will receive one forest chop after I increase the yields from these a bunch. Completing Henge and founding a religion will give me +4 gold per turn and +7 faith per turn immediately.
Some plans are: build a second Varu and take Hattusa, complete CH in Delhi, build a Water Mill for 100 science (probably in Delhi, using Brussels bonus), build a shrine in Agra to hire a Missionary and get another +6 gold from spreads, develop new cities (south gets a Campus, then a Holy Site, both at +3; west gets a Theatre Square, then a Harbour at +4), knock out more builders to surround Delhi in farms (they made Farmer's Gambit amusingly literal), trigerring Feudalism (6 farms) and Civil Service (grow city to 10 pop) inspirations.

Regarding Preslav, you just need to send the envoy before finishing the quest.

Good to know, thanks Archduke.
Finally settled my third city, soon to be followed by the fourth:
As I am going to build the game around irrevocable extraction of resources from land, I thought an appropriate theme would be:
Delicious.
Political Philosophy actually completes in 6 turns, not 7 (I need 55 culture, I am just this short of making it currently, but I will get a new city to push me over the limit). This lets me slot in DiploLeague in time to benefit from the double envoy without delaying the Varu by a turn needlessly. Government of choice will be Autocracy, as I don't intend to be running a diplomatic policy, and I want access to Maneuver/MaritimeIndustries and conscription continuously. I may switch into Republic once more districts are up to get the related bonuses. That would be somewhere after Campus at Bobrka and CH at Apsheron complete.

The city of Ploiesti is founded and instabuys a monument. I considered going for a builder, but I will soon be in Ilkum, so why not rather get those cogs with a bonus. Also, my pantheon is not online yet, so doing the chop with a builder now would be a waste of 50 faith. Also Ploeisti will have an absolutely killer harbour (+4 gold), so I want to chop into that.
Rowain has advanced rapidly and has caught up with me in culture, and is ahead of me in science! I assume some city-state luck, maybe fulfilling quests, as he hasn't built a campus or any other district. Similarly no district from Suboptimal yet.
I complete political philosophy in 2, and my first Varu in 3. Unfortunately one Varu (+archer, +warrior) is probably not enough to take Hattusa, so I will knock another one out first -- nicely helped by Preslav's bonus. In any case, my city strength will be set to 30 as soon as the first completes, which makes me happy.
Stonehenge completes in 5.

Fourth district has been completed in-game -- Kaiser's Encampment to join his Holy Site. Japan is really something in terms of city development, I have no idea why various single-player vloggers ranked it low. Kaiser is now generating a general at double the speed due to Divine Spark, very nice synergy. I hope he gets conquered before, as frankly I started having an eye on Boudica with some help from Faith generation (I will soon be generating 11 fpt). OTOH, if he gets it, others don't, so that's also good. Overall I have to wonder how Kaiser is stacking up on units, and whether Boudica will even have anyone to command -- he has continuously had less military power than even me, and my army consists of two warriors and three slingers, lol.
Rowain is still my only contact, and he is still in Chiefdom. I get Oligarchy next turn -- I will stay in it for only a handful of turns, whilst I'm using the diplomatic slot for DiploLeague. As soon as I get Mysticism and dispose of its envoy, I will switch to Autocracy. Oligarchy set-up will be something like Maneuver, Ilkum, DiploLeague and Urban Planning.

Actually, shenanigans with Oligarchy don't pay-off. What it gives me is the ability to run two econ policies alongside the diplo policy, but let's actually do the maths. Urban Planning 4 cogs per turn. Autocracy is 1 food, 1 cog, 1 clef, 1 flask, 1 faith, 1 coin per turn. It's already pretty even, if not in favour of Autocracy. But then autocracy will let me run a second military policy, conscription, so it will be another coin (saving on the Varu). Finally, not adopting oligarchy now will leave me the choice to jump into it, should I need to -- highly unlikely, but who knows.

Rowain has impressively accelerated his science output to 13, which is ahead of me, even though I'm in Autocracy now. Not sure how he's done that, as he does not have a campus -- either more scientific CS, or natural wonder. In any case, he still lacks any classical tech, so despite his much larger military score, I am not too worried about any invasion. In any case, I am completing a Varu next turn, and then another one, as well as an archer upgrade. That lot, boosted by a warrior, will have a go at Hattusa, which may even grow to 8 by that point -- nearly my entire empire's pop.
No districts have been completed, nothing else of note. In the north-west, I am hoping for the Brussels AI to trip over itself and fail to clear the now-undefended barbarian camp. So far it's been doing a commendable job.
