Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

RBP3 [SPOILERS] Team Nice Shot - Pacal of Carthage

I also sent a quick note off to Mali about meeting the Ottomans.

Well, that sucks. The warrior at Boring moved onto the flat land next to the city. I attacked with our chariot...and we lost at 97.4% odds! Argh!

That's especially bad considering that I just was advising Cyneheard about battles, and told him to attack at similar odds, saying that I would "definitely" do it if I was in his shoes.

And, um... weren't we just talking about wanting to promote a chariot to medic... and now we have... zero?

Oh well, the best laid plans...

We do have one by St. Paul...at 0 XP.

We need to get in contact with the Ottomans about either staying in Boring this turn (MP police) or attacking out. We might just offer them a shot at a warrior that is at .9 HP.

What do you think of working copper+marble this turn for growth in 1 at Boring? It would not change the speed of construction.

And regarding the warrior at Boring, why not leave things be? If the barb attacks the city we'll surely win (hill+culture+inherent city bonus+combatI). If he promotes and moves to flatland we will promote to shock and attack next turn, moving right back into the city.

Sounds good re: the warrior.

In regards to switching off the furs: what is construction at this turn? Remember, we are double whipping Lakewood next turn, which will cost us 12 commerce next turn. I'd just like to see the numbers on construction before deciding.

Oh, and did you see the missionary from Krill? jive

We are currently at 486/630 beakers. Cutting the furs takes us to 74 this turn. If we whip away the gold and one cottage at LW, we will be at 73 next turn --- this assumes that our sixth population point at Boring will work one fur. That would take us to 633 beakers.

(Also note that I switched SP away from the barracks to save for OR bonus... and noticed Krill's missionary 2-3 turns away from SP)

Crosspost! smile

Ok, I'd say switch it to get the extra pop (and then next turn start the settler). I assume once it grows, we would work both furs and the copper (ie switch away from the unimproved quarry).
