So I goofed up a little bit. With my stack outside of Fetret Devri he got a spear in their for T156. I suicided my 2 cats against his longbows and discovered 2 cats we're not going to be enough. My HA promoted to Combat II only got like 18% odds so I moved my (now) 4 unit stack onto his rice and pillaged the farm and the road. I will then move to the horses on T157 and pillage the pasture and road.

Ollantaytambo was evacuated apart from the lone spear that was produced on the interturn. I moved 2 axes to the hill to its NW and hopefully I'll take it next turn.

I moved all but my 2-movers onto the the flatland tile NE of DINA. He was able to add a Longbow, an Axeman and a chariot there this turn and he'll have his main stack in their next. He'll outnumber me I think in terms of non-seige units so I shall have to think about my moves carefully. This turn was played rather quickly as I wasn't sure if I didn't do it this morning I might not get another chance.

He had 2 LB's, 1 axe and 1 spear. I had 2 cats, 1 HA, 1 Axe, 1 Spear and 1 Chariot.

After suiciding the 2 cats I turned the attack off. It wasn't going to be enough to take the longbows out.

So T156 is still being played. I was logged in for a bit with Slaze and I saw the damage he's caused. It's quite significant. This only reinforces that I haven't quite figured out warfare.

Oh and those 4 units that would have cut off the horse...now dead!

I've been adequately spanked!

It's quite apparent I've no idea about MP warfare (and probably SP as well). I've tactically withdrawn within my borders to regroup. At this point Slaze has made it clear he has no intention of signing peace so it'll be a fight to the death. I'm pretty sure I can fight him off within my borders, I just can't make any ground on him atleast not yet. I suppose if I bent my entire civ towards killing him I could take some ground from him but I'm not willing to do that. So it's a defensive battle for now. I'm only scared a bit that India is going to jump in as well as I can't understand why Slaze thinks he can manage both fronts. Perhaps he's working closely with Korea though so that may be it.

Anyways that's my thoughts for now.

The last few turns I've been getting announcements in the event log saying a particular city is celebrating the day of the monarch or whatever. Does that provide any benefit or anything or is that just there for fun? If it does provide a benefit what does it do?

Hey Athlete, you posted your update in the wrong thread. Here it is again:

Well, so here I am with an update. Warning this is just a wall of text.

So I ignored my intuition and convinced myself that India wasn't going to take Greece out (I was thinking this around T148 or so). Along with the Inca getting Feudalism, Rome and my attack on the Inca was particularly foolish. Especially mine. I completely failed to make any progress, when I should have atleast taken 2 cities.

Now, Greece is gone and India is on my very weak border, refusing to renew our NAP. Now if I represent some reasonable strength, I don't think they'll attack, they'll just be content I've whipped my cities. But I'm also at war with the Inca. Or am I !!!

I had a long chat with Slaze last night and we're going to try and take India back down a notch. We'll remain at war in game and but not march against each other. This free's up my units to defend my western border (and his to attack Rome ). Then he'll supposedly help me to attack India a bit later. There are definitely some details to be cleared up but if I was to stand any chance I needed my current army available to clear India out of my lands, or atleast keep them at bay.

I'll try and post some more later (answer any questions as needed) but that's the basics of it for now.

So India saw the post. Ummm...ya so I'm f****d. Rather I f'd up everything...how is it that India seems to always catch a break. This just isn't freaking right. The worst part about it is this one is all my fault.



Frankly I'm a bit upset they didn't come clean on the forum...I only know because they sent the post to Slaze who's obviously not thrilled with me now.

Now what do I do???
