PBEM 10 Spoiler
Found the patch notes. When the game came out you couldn't build obsoleted units once the tech was researched (e.g. couldn't build warriors at all once you researched Iron Working). The patch (Feb 2017, according to the wiki) lets you build obsoleted units so long as you do not have access to a required resource. In the case of warriors you can build them as long as you want as long as you don't hook up iron (or, if you wait that long, niter).

That was a huge hit to my morale, to be fair. I feel like most of my advantage evaporated. I lost my fast campus and lost reinforcements for the Krill/BB war. I know I should have been more careful and do my research, but I hate losing to the game instead of the players.

New patch:
Added food needed for population growth in City Details Panel.
Was it so hard?
Anyway, lets see how things are going.
Finish the Campus, two turns later and a warrior poorer.
Krill's attack against BB. I wonder if Krill managed to kill the second archer from BB that was hanging around. Anyway, it won't be easy for him, as the city defends at 27 strength (24 + hill tile). He'll need a siege, I think, but if he goes for one, I can probably do damage to him. Tough situation, not exactly sure how I want to proceed.
Jerusalem warrior blocked my path and made it possible for Rowain to attack me again next turn, most likely. With my current moves, I'll have the option of sacrificing my scout to try and get the builder back to my land or just delete the builder and save my scout.
Overview. I'm still depressed by the warrior/iron interaction and, since I've been with a flu the past 3/4 days, I'm not in my best reporting mood. The pictures will have to suffice.

Rough luck on the iron/warrior thing. I know the feeling of being depressed because a rule doesn't work the way you thought it did. :/ Hang in there!

Krill captured BB. I was in position to take the city from him, as I could move against the city in a way that 2 swords would be able to attack with great strength advantage, while protected from most of his archers. Keeping the city would likely be impossible, but I could raze it. Krill offered me tribute in the form of an embassy and free sugar. I offered/demanded 3 gpt for my spare coffee (which is not a bad deal for him), due to the loss of my TR with BB, and decided to withdraw my forces.
BB is an amazing city and Krill will probably jump into a good game because of it, but I want to have him as an ally. I'm already at perma-war with Rowain, most likely (I had to delete his builder, as there was no way of saving him), and I just declared on Bacchus, that is targeting Carthage, so I don't want a thrid war front. Hopefully Krill keeps some good will towards me going forward, due to all of this.
My current situation is that I missed the strategic timings and setback my advantage. Krill was faster and managed to form a front with loads of archers, that would be too costly to fight against. Meanwhile, moving my units near BB opened Carthage to Roman's agression and delayed my help in defense. So, I messed the two things, unfortunately. I think I'll be able to reach Carthage before it falls, though, and Bacchus will have to start producing some extra troops, if he wants to defend against me.
In yet another bug, Bacchus was attacking Carthage. Seeing the chance to hit one of his warrios with my slinger, I declared on Bacchus. What happened is that Bacchus troops were expelled from Carthage lands, because Carthage (whom I am the suzerain of) declared war on Bacchus as well, even though they were already at war. This opened up Bacchus to attack a different slinger of mine (though the slinger is strength 15 due to DotF), but also likely delayed him a bit further.
Bacchus and I are fighting for the first GG (the next one will be Medieval). He finished a project and passed me on the points (30 something), while he's making 3 to my 4 GPP per turn. But I have a project ready in 2 turns and, if that's not enough, I'll faith buy the GG. So, Bacchus has to finish another project or something in that time frame, which I think is impossible except for chops.
I'm planning to get another discounted Campus and Encampment on 3rd and 4th city next. Perhaps a Theater Square at the Capital, seeing at it'll be discounted and I need a place to store my writings... Not sure I need that one, though. I could get a third discounted Campus by having some other ineficiencies here and there, but I'm not sure that's worth.
I'll likely suzerain Kumasi in the next 2/3 turns. So, sending a TR from my Capital to Carthage will actually yield 4 culture. This probably won't last for long, but is kind of free.
My expansion stagnated. I probably need to adopt Colonization and pump some more settlers, but I don't see myself getting more builders to chop. My score is really high right now and I secured a decent prize in a good religion, but the other players will soon catch up.
Pictures (I loaded the last turn again to document the bug with Carthage and Bacchus but stupidly forgot to take a screenshot of the units moved after my declaration...):

Can someone tell me how the faith cost to buy a unit with Theocracy is calculated?

Ok, so what's new?
1. I got the GG after my project. Next GG was Medieval, meaning 120 GPP and doesn't affect current units, so I don't mind if Bacchus gets it. Renaissance units suck, anyway. What I'm aiming for next is the Industrial GG.
2. I have 2 campuses and I'm heading to Recorded History. The idea is to run the double adjacency card basically everytime, for +7 science now. I will possibly place a new high adjacency Campus in a new city, just gotta work out how to do it properly. I can probably get +10 from that card very soon.
3. I got the first GWriter. Used him for a Great Work and now he'll scout the world.
4. Bacchus captured Carthage and I captured Carthage from Bacchus. I decided to keep it, instead of releasing it, as I won't ever be able to protect it from Bacchus. The city is in perma occupation because Bacchus had it for 1 turn. Stupid rule. Now I have to conquer Bacchus or hope he gives me peace while he has no reason whatsoever to do that. I forgot to upload those pictures, so I'll make a more detailed war post this weekend.
5. I'm building two settlers, because I felt like I was beggining to stagnate. I have an army and I have districts, so expanding is what's left, even though it's costly.
6. I suzerained Kumasi (only used one natural envoy, the other two were quest + civic), but can't use the imbalanced bonus due to no TR slots, as Bacchus taking Carthage nuked my second one (thankkfully the 90% built second trader will keep its hammers until a new TR slot is available).

This is how I captured Carthage. Notice that enemy units can also use the ability to cross rivers with 1MP that city gives. I killed Bacchus horseman, as well. I used the swordsman that already crossed the river to take the city, so it could be protected from counter attacks. I feared Bacchus could have another horseman in the fog and would re-recapture Carthage, but he had to divert a horse to kill my scout that was going to pillage his Capital.
I made a big mistake, by not buying a missionary from Novgorod as soon as the shrine was built. That would have given me DotF on Carthage and Bacchus units would be toast. I only managed that last turn, when I already started invading Bacchus.
I had some back and forth with Bacchus this past few turns. I know I have more power than he has, so I was alright with axchanging 1 for 1, even if it's easier for him to reinforce. I used two archers to kill his archer, knowing he could revenge kill one of mine archers. But that opened up his Encampment, which I destroyed and made it impossible for his Legion to retreat. He killed a slinger, but I killed the legion and his promoted warrior has nowhere to go. I have to say Bacchus probably is playing his turn a bit fast, because some of his moves seemed a bit too careless. Perhaps I'm not understading the situation, though.
So, right now, I killed 1 Legion, 1 Horseman and 1 Archer and I lost 1 Archer and 1 Slinger.
I'm gunning for Proxy Hatch now.
If I can occupy the tile 1SW of Proxy hatch next turn (couldn't do it this turn due to ZoC), Bacchus is in deep trouble. I can fortify my sword there and any units coming from down there would suffer the River penalty (and fortify + GG + Oligarchy makes for a tough fight for horses) and only one unit can attack at a time from the city. I can't siege the city, but I can attack it with a DotF archer and melee units are usually pretty good against non-walled cities. It's a pity that I don't have enough gold for some more archer upgrades and my archers are very out of place.

Krill didn't get Church Property, so if I'm fast to a temple (12 turns for it in Yaroslavl, that will finish a shrine this turn), I can get that sweet belief. Krill went for Jesuit Education and +1 culture or +1 faith per Theater Square or Holy Site (which also conflicts with Church property, so Krill can't take it for himself). I don't see Bacchus going for Stonehenge right now, Rowain captured jerusalem that had a shrine and HS, so he'll get a natural GPro in some time and Emp K has the free Prophet. All things considered, I think I will be first to Church Property, which is a massive gain!
My play has been pretty sloppy as of the past few turns. I forgot to place a Theater Square in my Capital at size 7 and it went to size 6 due to a settler, so I had to finish a new civic and make it costlier. I forgot to change the +1 envoy policy, when I had already used it. It's a big mess, but I'm in a good position because Russia is incredibly imbalanced and my terrain is super duper good.

Thanks for the detailed war reports!
I'm still confused why your sword was able to assault straight into Carthage from across the river. Why didn't it have to spend a turn waiting to cross, exactly?

I'm not that confident about how unit movement works in Civ 6 myself, but here's my understanding. You can cross rivers with a single movement point, if you are moving to or out of a city. I thought this only applied to cities you own, but apparently, it also counts for enemy units. You don't even need roads, just the city.
This likely changes if the city is on a hill. I think you'd need 2 MP in that case, to move into the city (it also counts as the river was not there, but you need 2 MP for moving to hills anyway).
This crossing rivers with city ability is easy to spot while moving builders and units around your own lands. Basically, it seems to also apply to enemy units attacking cities, and we probably have to keep an eye for that. I wonder if Bacchus thought he was safe here, due to the river. It's possible.
