(SPOILERS) SuperDEATH Kills the competition

Well OT4E instead is gonna be a tad bit friendlier. For now... Im trying to decide if pushing expansion down south before declaring war on someone is something i should do. IND is passing its first real benefit with forges being already built, and im hoping to make good use of multiple National Wonders, but my land is just so.... Meh that i dont know where to put them. Looking at OH's land, he has a shit ton of food/resources but not much actual land, so if i can live long enough i will out produce him. Donovan is dead in the water, but could be a pain depending on what he decides to do. I dont think OH will declare on me, as he wont get any farther than sniping my island city, and he likely has bigger fish to fry. So plan is, see if swapping in 7ish turns into Buro/caste is only 1 turn of anarchy, or if its two. if its two i think ill wait for Music to pop a GA and swap. Till then im building settlers and claiming land. Might also build a couple extra ships.. I expect i could have Astro in less than 25 turns or so, likely much less if i really wanted to push it, but i think ill delay it a tad and focus on getting my mid-late game into a better position.

Also, Donovan.. has alot of military policing warriors.. damn!

Also also, because of a shit bunch of rolls from a 10% defensive fight from a barb... my own c2shock axe has to run and hide/heal from another barb axe. Man these barb results are shit. Can we reroll the combat randomizer? Luckily i have a chariot, followed by another chariot, followed by yet another chariot heading south to fogbust/lockdown for expansion.

"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. Alright, so i might have some competition for Music. OH swapped to Aesthetics with 2 turns left to go on it. I make quite a bit more GPT than he does, and only slightly less beakers.. So, ill wait the 2 turns that he will take to research it, save the gold... and rush to music. Plan is to get to music in roughly 10 turns or so, swap to Caste/buro during the golden age from Music artist, and then clean up calendar/iw then head for Astro. During the golden age i will be building courthouses, maintenance sucks. If it wasnt for TGLH i would be hurting. Also i found out that OT4E borders Gav. That would be a nice, non-tense border /nod. Ill edit in images later.

OT4E seems to almost be taking care not to provoke or tempt a kill of any kind.. weird. OH on the other hand... seems to be moving/keeping his chariot in positions that make it hard to want to be long term friends with the guy.. i think im going to test him by leaving my worker unguarded pasturing the cow in Damnation. If he takes the hammer trade, i take his chances of winning down the tube. I settled Sol Ring this turn, and ill settle another soon-to-be-named city next turn. This... doesnt put me anywhere near the leaders in cities, but it does keep me in the pack. Im going to likely unwisely, pause on settler production to get some infrastructure down before the Music-Golden age. Using the golden age to swap to buro/caste, crank out some scientists for a future astro bulb. Meanwhile teching IW/calendar and heading down the astro line. I wont be the first, but i should beat my neighbors to it. My gold production at 100% gold is #1 from what i can see, with total beakers being limited by my lower population/less cities. This will all change once i get my UB up in several cities which will push my cities upto 4 trade routes! Ive got plenty of far flung neighbors to keep open borders with, so if i snag some OH cities when he goes to war next... i shouldnt be hurting too badly. If Donovan didnt have a land neighbor in the form of Pro-Skirms i would probably grab his land instead/as well.

I think long-term plan is Bulb astro, take someones land, while slowly expanding south into what seems to be my own "big" island. OMW to Astro, im pretty sure i need machinery, which will give me maces to attack with.. :D

If any lurkers want some images/screenshots, let me know how you want them uploaded for your convenience. Thanks!

You know, i really wanted to play a turn a day or so in this pitboss. Didnt figure we would be getting long breaks due to work/RL ect, nor complex turn splits till idk.. someone gets astro? ffs. If donovan lives long enough for me to get to astro he's dying. Doubtful that he will though, as OH/Lewwyn seem to be eyeballing him. I need to prepare for taking a couple of OH's cities in the next.. 20-30 turns though, so after i grab music i think IW-Calendar to get swords/find iron and grab my last few happy resources. Should be able to grab quite alot of techs during the GA, as my tech rate is still #2-3 at break even, and #1 at full speed.

Plans are starting for some daring raids on coastal cities, which will almost immediately be profitable.. Who i hit likely depends on who is at war. Im going to be doubling my defense on the OH border(s) due to my fears of 3 moving galleys catching me off guard. Golden age from Music coming in ... 5-6turns, less if i run wealth/research builds. Time Walk is going to either finish, or get some fail gold from Statue of Zues. Happy if i get it, but im fine with the fail gold pushing me towards better tech. The +3 exp will be nice on ships. ( if im reading it correctly its not just land based ) Someone is running alot of wealth/research builds, or has frankly.. alot of bpt. Nearly double what i can produce at 100%... Either Gavagai, or whomever got the mid's.. superjm?

Well everything on the Music/tech front seem to be going great.. but if OH thinks im going to just let him take Damnation and not retaliate? He's got another thing coming. ( this is what i think he is doing, as i dont see another reason why there are 2 galleys that can unload units to attack damnation the turn after.. Maybe im just being paranoid but reading many many threads concerning OH... he is supposedly ruthless in picking fights/cities off of those he deems.. weak. I dont take random city captures lightly. I have an archer ready to be whipped next turn in Damnation, which would obviously be a bit late.. but it would prevent him from gaining an extra pop point :D. Also OH completed SoZ, so now he could possibly have 3xp 3 move galleys. Lovely. Im hopeful that he looks elsewhere because i REALLY am enjoying trying to become a contender on this map, when i so very much had a shit start. I....also found out i fucked myself out of an easy astro bulb by grabbing CS. Ill now have to research paper, bulb education and THEN ( unless im missing yet another thing ) i can bulb Astro. So, getting compass-optics for Caraval's is going to be a huge priority to stop others from hurting me. Tech plan is music - IW - Calendar, build swords conquer the south barb city(s?) and then find out where Mr.Cairo is and either conquer him, or tech to Feudalism for Lbow's.

waiting another two turns to build some gold then going to fire my golden age and swap to caste/buro. planning on whipping my archer from one of my new cities into a workboat-into a granary chop. Going to be pumping settlers for the south from Time Walk. Also colonizing the north island? + filling in other cities overseas. Even after filling in all my decent city sites... i dont believe ill be at the amount of cities that other civs have. Like Krill or Gavagai. However, most/all of my cities will contribute much to my future war effort. I know OH will be likely to go towards his UU which is a crossbow that deals collateral damage.. So, i should try and get to Longbows, to defend against him. Also Machinery for maces could be pretty good for attacking, maybe not so much on defense.. Could get interesting soon.

saving gold while overflow teching Poly-priesthood. then onward to monarchy/fued. Longbows should be enough defense to deter any china crossbows from really wanting to pick a fight. After that, i plan on teching for cothons- calendar. Then maybe machinery-optics-paper for control of seas.

teched priest-Monarchy- and finishing Fued with overflow +20% research, saving 140+ gold for teching.. machinery? Either machinery or compass followed by optics-paper for privateers.

Pumping out several settlers, and my production centers are going to be pumping longbows so OT4E/OH/Cairo dont get any ideas. I think i have enough land to be competitive long-term, i just have to defend it now. Maybe... 7+ longbows in the GLH city? Can't be too safe, never know when some random Incan galleon will burn your city :P
