The legendary sculptor Athalan of the Sea is said to have carved an entire city somewhere far beneath the waves: A city of ocean giants, columns and sculptures and towering walls cut from solid marble and sunken to the deeps. It is said that Athalan would have immense blocks of marble shipped out to him on barges - and one such barge supposedly is tethered now just off-shore, bearing a marble slab too large and heavy to carry from its barge, but already partly worked by the giant's tools, so that skilled masons could use it as a virtual quarry and carry ashore huge marble blocks that for Athalan would have been mere chips to be discarded. For those who fish the seas, it offers other possibilities: Wood shaved from the sides of the giant barge and smaller marble chips alike can be of use to them as tools, while many strangers to their shores would pay well for a trip by boat to see the legendary barge. Sadly, gigantic though it is, the barge remains a boat at sea: Should vandals put it to fire and sword, its massive cargo would carry it down to the deeps, and apart from such driftwood as might wash ashore from the remains, it could never be recovered once sunk to the ocean floor.

Athalan's Barge is a Marble with Quarry on a coastal sea tile. It provides Marble if the player who controls it has Masonry, and the tile yield is 1/2/4 with fishing (boostable with lighthouse/harbor/Heron Throne as usual.) If pillaged, it becomes just a coastal tile with +1h to its yield.

Do animals attack barbarian players ?

Yes, barb animals start with the "Hidden Nationality" promotion and will attack any player, even those with the "Barbarian" trait. They don't attack actual barbs since they're actually on the same team, but players with the trait are mechanically just "at peace" (with the equivalent of "open borders") with the barb team.

Hmm, that means that Loki can convert barb cities. Intriguing...

They're cool with it. Only the Dovellio are BAR without a way to steal barb cities.
