Dedicated lurker here.

Truth be told, I have never played the Sheaim before. But they have lots of fun stuff about them I've always wanted to try out.

I might chip in with a summary of our opponents civilizations and their potential threat level a bit later on. In the meantime, Mwhahahahahahaha.

Truth be told, I haven't played them either lol It was my third pick and I had not really expected to get them wink

But now we will wreak havoc with them. Like: Pyre Zombie rush, go go go! lol

You want to rush with Pyre Zombies? How soon do you want to get them? They aren't cheap early and their counter (HA's and Life 2 mages) come mid game, so you can afford to delay it a bit. You'd better hope for copper nearby.

Really, you can target anyone except the clan (who get a racial promotion that resists fire). Try and ally with them. I'd be wary of the Sidar too, as Iskender deviously asked if there was any rule against using his worldspell on a warrior rush, although that doesn't stop you rushing him. The Luchuirp would be a good target (late game threat, only financial leader and wood golems are vulnerable to fire) and so would the amurites/balseraphs (more late game threat).

You better get AV, bulb it with a prophet ASAP. Planar gates and summoner/sundered arcane units are important too for a proper Sheaim gameplay. And since your Industrious, you better make sure to build some wonders at some point too. smile

Not sure if I really will rush someone with them. Depends on the map first and foremost. And if I get to test them in a SP-game before we start as well.

As for the clan: I did test a little bit earlier with Pyre Zombies, wb'ed them in a game. Used them against the clan. Did work fine I thought... so they are probably EXTREMELY strong against everyone else then? yikes

As for the wonders and AV and stuff: You are probably right with that. Though I tend to not do what is normal - see PBEM10 or PBEM7 ... or FFH2PBEM2 for that matter, though it didn't work out there (or did it? no spoilers :P).

Pretty much. The clan have the best defense against them due to Warrens, aggressive trait and fire resistance. Everyone else in the game is a longer term threat and don't have much to stop you, so kill them instead. smile

Well, it's your game. Feel free to go for Order or Empyrean if you want. tongue It's just AV is a powerful religion and it's normal downside (raising the AC) is a plus for you.

Settled, choose Agri as tech and a worker as build. One warrior will stay home, one will go scouting. And I hope he finds more rivers because right now, this looks not to promising.

Looks like you settled for the best capital spot. I might have tried to squeeze two cities on that river due to the lack of food but that's just me.

If there's no other food around the fish might be good for another city.
