Time for a slight update. Skyrim permitting, I'll try to get on top of this whole dropbox/photobucket thing so I can upload some of these screenshots I've taken. Not that there's a lot interesting happening.
Interesting note: if I toggle bare map on, and zoom out I can see any landmarks set. This means I actually know where the Sierra Madre is. Not so sure this was intended. I'm going to see if I can power some scouts over in that direction but I expect it's on another continent or protected by ... things. I wonder if Tholal picked the Elohim with the map landmark revealing feature in mind. I'd completely forgotten about it until I zoomed out.
Built a scout, which brings me up to two. Working on a Worker now. I decided to work the other tile with commerce on it. It means one extra turn but I think I'll be able to micro that back down again, I just want my bankroll at 10 gp and then I can run even on 100% science. I'm thinking I should have just kept it at 100 from the start. Live and learn.
Warrior is headed back to the capital Solace, just in case any barbs spawn from the goblin camp to my north. Hopefully I can farm from that spot later.
Looks like two of the civs jumped to 42 score. While I sit at 35 with the orcs and the Keelyn leader is still sitting at 31. I'm nowhere near ready to do any kind of C&D on scores like this but I bet the two leaders popped some tech or an extra unit and Keelyn is either building a worker from a 1 pop city or trying to build a building of some sort. Time will tell. Can't wait to read the spoiler threads when this game is done!
I do want to mention I'm a bit disappointed to have huts and dungeons included. I hoped we'd have all voted on turning those off but it seems not. I'm going to leave those for now and explore when I get more troops. If any experienced lurkers read this: do you know what, if any, modifiers there are for the dungeons? Like, are you more likely to get a positive benefit the earlier you explore; is there a better chance of something good if you explore with a scout/recon, like how the adventurers are supposed to get better results (or avoid bad ones)?
