Thread Of Indispensible Trifles And Trivialities

Since there's not much else to do during set-up, and I didn't want to clutter up our semi-serious settings thread, here's a thread dedicated to everything trivial. Specifically:

What shall be our naming scheme?
Tropical paradises? Trolling manuevers? Pop songs from the early 70s?

How are we going to organize our forum?
A specialized thread for each individual topic? (Diplo thread, Micro thread, etc)
One Thread To Rule Them All? (I hope not, because we've already screwed that up completely lol)
Or something in between?

How are we going to win the spam war?
TEAM will lose focus in time, methinks, but Gillette is a force to be reckoned with; Rego alone is worth a crack team of chimpanzees perpetually typing at typewriters. We're gonna need to be hardcore in order to win this thing.

Thoughts?

Hah, TEAM never had any focus to begin with!

A team called Tropical Trolls can only logically use a Florida naming scheme.

Cities in the tropics for city names, sorted by size maybe? Tropical drinks for peaceful unit names? Troll names for combat units?

Ok, I was doing some thinking this night and I think I had a good idea.

One of the most important things in team games is to have team spirit. The teams with players that have good relations between themselves can go much farther than teams whose players hate each others. This is quite a known fact for any sports fan.

So, how do we manage to create a good team spirit atmosphere for the demogame? Well, you know when a soccer/basketball/football/whatever game is about to begin, it's common to see the team players making a circle and the team captain goes "we have to win this, it's now or never, we have to give 110% percent" and things like that. That is a tactic to lift team spirit.

But since we are scattered around the world, not scattered around a court, this seems to be impossible. But don't worry, I have thought of a solution.

From now on, I propose that we all start signing our posts, the same way that Darrell does, in a way to back up our team captain against the attacks he has been receiving for this wonderful praxis. Not only we will be defending our captain, but we'll also be sending a message that this is a very united team, with loads of team spirit.

That being said, I'll begin doing it right now!

Are tropical trolls anything like tropical dictators? You'd have more than enough names for (highly decorated) units.

There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.
