Anyone feel like putting in the effort to do any analysis on our opponents?

All five teams are (surprise!) really strong, but it's worth pointing out:

-Gilette has Kyan, scooter, AND regoarrarr, so expect diabolical diplomacy
-Even though many of TEAM's members have well-deserved reputations of being prone to fury, I don't think there's much risk of Commodore-esque vendetta from them. They have too many people who are unwilling to give up a chance at victory, however small.
-The Pirates are the only team without a "superstar" player, though they have so many other good-to-great players I don't expect it to matter.
-Menagerie-Trois is going to be the ultimate test of Parkin's resolution not to be a control freak.

In a vacuum, I would place Gilette as the strong favorites, but by no means absolutely so. This is going to be exciting.

Here is my pre game ranking:

1)
Team Gillette is favorite to win. Both SevenSpirits and Mackoti are in top 5 players in Realms Beyond in terms of pure civ skills and they seem to be doing well together. Their main weakness has been diplomacy, but now they've a team to assist there.

2)
Us - We've plenty of civ skill in our team, but realistically we're a behind Gillette.

3)
TEAM has Krill and I think success depends mostly on his commitment level. If he is fully commited, they'll be on par with us.

4)
Pirates have pretty capable players that are not far behind top players.

5)
Menagerie-Trois - Lord Parkin is not as good as his track record would indicate. Here he can't utilise his timer tricks and everybody knows his diplo style.

For the remaining four, I guess FIN + EXP / CRE / SPI / IND / PHI.

Last pick could conceivably be Ragnar of Rome / Zulu or Hannibal of Egypt / Mongolia / etc.

F might be worth considering to try to land GLH, but otherwise E or A seem best.

True. Pick Ragnar of Vikings (Fishing / Hunting) if we get last pick?

I also think India is worth the first pick. Krill won't be able to help himself, he'll be heavily involved. I might be wrong but I think we have more overall talent than any other team .

I agree India should be 1st pick. Pacal is probably only one worth considering to pick before India. There is small chance to even get pairing with Inca in absence of other Expansive leaders.

I don't think Aggressive is worth it.
