Let's get order settled first, I guess. The way I see it is if we badly want either India or Pacal, we want the first pick. If we are happy with either of those, we can take the second pick and go for what's not selected on the off chance #1 picks from the same category. If we get to #3 and both India and Pacal are off the table I'm vexed.

I think we would be very happy with both alternatives so I chose 2nd. This way, if there are surprise picks we're in a slightly better position.

If we are second on the pick, we would end up with either India or Pacal, not being able to choose what do we really prefer. What do you think we'll end up pairing each of them with, predictably?

I don't think we'd end up with either Sury of India or Pacal of Inca, right? What'd be other good options?

But assuming the following picks:

Us. Pacal
2. India
3. Willem
4. LP's team - Capac
5. Sury

Who would pick Inca? LP would be the one most likely to do it, but I'd bet his team would go for Stonehenge for faux-creative. I think we can very well luck out with Inca. Don't forget that no one would be inclined to pick just to nerf us, since everyone is only concerned with their own nose, not with the general balance of things.

And what could we end up pairing India with? A financial civ? And expansive civ? Bismarck of India could own, right? Wonders are powerful, after all.

Even we don't know what the optimal pick is, we should be more likely to pick it ourselves than if someone else gets to pick for us.

I don't know of a way to make the voting public. Ichabod if we pick India first and Sury is not available that means one of Willem, Pacal, Huyana Capac, and Mansa Musa are availabe which would be great. I think the drop-off from the first leader to the fifth leader is smaller than the drop-off from the first civ to the fifth civ, which is why I voted for the first pick, and believe we should take India.

I think you make a very good point regarding Civ/Leader difference. There's really a big gap between India and the other civs, not so much on the leaders.

Well, seeing that the starts are probably mirrored (reasoning behind this thought - the start has too many options to not be mirrored - there's a lot of places possible to settle, there's the expansive nerf and the obvious unnatural pig), India would be the only way to get a faster opening, without the expansive bonus.

I'm starting to lean towards India too. Is there love for Bismarck as our leader pick, though? I wouldn't mind to go for something slightly different and wonder powered economies are nice.

Well I'm still not sure what we should pick but I believe we should pick it first, so I voted for that.

The question is whether Bismarck of India beats HC of Insert Civ Here to wonder X (I'm not sure he does because of Fin tech rate.)
