Naming scheme

Now that the game is opened, the most important question is what we will name our cities, workers, and other units.

I've proposed naming our capital Junta, after the boardgame set in Republica de los Bananas, and continuing with other classic board games.

I haven't seen any other proposals, but feel free to add more of them.

For the record my suggestion of famous starships:

"Heart of Gold" to begin with.

And I would not name units.

I would not recommend naming cities after their map features as that potentially gives away information to attentive teams. It being not-always-war, I do like naming cities alphabetically, as our opponents have diplo screen access regardless to see the full list in founding order, and it makes it easier to remember which city is which.

I agree with Seven that giving away any unnecessary information should be avoided. Apart from that, I mind not what we do. Board games is kinda fun (although i'm sure that was done in PBEM 10 or so?) but that doesn't make it a bad idea.

I'd consider that unsportsmanlike at best. Let's not. smile
