Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

You have 48 hours to choose whether you want to keep the combo you have been given, or to re-roll for a new one. Keep in mind this is the format:

Roll 1: Keep or re-roll with unused/rejected leaders/civs.
Roll 2: Keep or re-roll with unused/rejected leaders/civs.
Roll 3: Keep.

Please notify me whether you are keeping or re-rolling your combo in your thread or via PM.

Hammurabi of Arabia - I think I'll keep.

Arabia pretty much guarantees a shrine - which is huge for this kind of game. Agg+Org combo is pretty decent - two traits which decrease costs. Actually works nice with a shrine, I may think about building mid-late game around keeping a relatively high slider. Good enough to keep - especially given that a lot of good leaders are going to be picked and removed from the pool during the first round. I see Elizabeth, Wang Kon, Pacal, Shaka...

Will ask Bacchus about his opinion...

Our decision - REROLL.

(Hammurabi lacks good early traits and it appears that our expected result on reroll should be better on acerage.)

If you're in the bottom half, you have a new combo to pick from there. You can either keep that new combo, or you can choose to reroll again, If you choose to reroll, that third set that you roll will be what you will have for the game, no more rerolling at that point.

Well, Roosevelt of Mali... Skirmisher is an interesting unit - one of the best ones in high-level SP and marginally useful in MP. On the other hand, Mints are pretty good and they synergize with Organized trait. Still no good early traits...

We will keep Roosevelt of Mali.

Aggressive Ikhandas vs Expansive Hamams vs Industrious Mints? Challenge accepted.

In fairness, the battle will be between the first three names and each got a combo playing to their strengths. Commodore will SimCity. We need to fish for something in the inevitable war between Krill, DTay and Serdoa, but for that we'd need to keep our play at FinHarry level. A considerable ask on the time spent.

Excel is nearly ready, I just mostly need to plug in the costs list for buildings and units. If you could pull it out of the mod xml that would be handy.

Remember, Metal Casting is cheap and unlocks lumbermills now, which for flat grassland forests are 2-2-x tiles, which is nuts. So between Industrious Mints and everything else we are pretty much beelining it. The other Inds are players unfamiliar to me, so we might even get some wonder-use out of the trait.

If we are prepared to be aggressive, skirms can choke up a less-experienced player's land like nobody's business for a definite economic lead and favourable campaigning. We just need to make sure no-one else takes advantage of the weakness we create.

Here is the starting BFC sandbox for you to look at and start planning, if you choose to do so. This accurately represents what the starting BFC will look like when you load into the game. The file has any strategic resources stripped out (since you would not know those on turn 0).

We reserve the right to make any changes to the BFC, but this is at least very close to what it will look like in game, so should be dependable for planning purposes.

No screenshot for the thread too because that's just time consuming right now for me to go take a picture of each one too. neenerneener
