Welcome to the spoiler thread of Superdeath.
If you are a player, and this isnt the end of the game... Please back-out now and forever hold your peace.

Wanted civs-
Persia
Egypt
---------
Backup civs-
China
Mali
---------
Wanted leaders-
KKhan
Catherine
---------
Backup leaders-
Toku
Gilgamesh
---------
Now, i know what you may be thinking, But Superdeath, you are playing KKhan, and Egypt in pb39! You would be correct, however...my playstyle typically has me using the same leader/civ combo's till i know how to abuse every inch of it.
What im looking for in a leader- Creative. + something
What im looking for in a civ- Great starting techs. + something fun to smash into others.

Just checking in, I’m completely spoiled on PB38 and have read enough of PB39 that I won’t comment about either.
I have essentially no MP experience aside from playing with my son, and most of the players here seem like they would blow me out of the water. I’m hoping to get some more in-depth experience by heavily investing in only one player and hopefully getting some simming and strategic theorycrafting in, I’ve only ever gen-lurked PB’s, and obviously seeing everything is a very different experience.
It seems Commodore may already have starts ready for viewing, so I’ll give a few thoughts once that is posted.
Civ pick wise, I’ll defer to you, both because it’s your game to play, and because I’m no where near experienced enough to lend any weight to my opinions.
I’m also planning on spending time tonight (because my wife works so I can do it uninterrupted) looking over the last 5 or 6 PB games for how people tend to open.

Probably still better than me .
Unless something strange is present in the start. Typically Worker first followed by either another worker, or warrior till size 3 for settler is i Believe, the standard. If there is anything i can post/do different when it comes to screenshots/ect that would help ya let me know.

we are losing the posting war! So to counter that, Operation- Find a naming theme!

Screenshot wise what you’ve been doing in PB38 is fine, you can probably tell by post counts that you’re one of the more frequent reporters in that game. I’m also going to try to get pitboss working so I might just pop in-game a time or two as well.
Regarding naming, I’d have to think on that, nothing directly comes to mind right now.

But i like that fog!
Predictions-
SNAKE:
1. Charriu-- Chooses something Zulu, or something really weird like greece.
2. RFS--- Picks a leader.
3. Superdeath
4. Magic--- picks zulu if its still up, if not, inca.
5. Shallow--- picks a leader.
6. Coeurva --- Him and OT4E choose Carthage because they are sadistic

Quick thoughts,
Pretty balanced food start, one agri, one fishing, one hunting. I think both of your preferred civs start with agriculture?
I’d guess that’s the ocean and not a lake, so naval techs will be important. Obviously scouting will help figure that out.
Didn’t get the time I was expecting to last night because life is busy, we’ll see how productive I want to be at work today.

Also, I had a rather random naming idea, named trans-Neptunian objects, but looking at the list, only a handful (10 or so) have actual normal names, most just have standardized numbered designations like ‘1999 CC158’.
Alternatively there are thousands of named asteroids, or one could do moons of a planet like Saturn (53 named) or Jupiter (51 named). Unless of course you’d expect to need more than 50 city names.
