I'm itching to tell Miguelito that nafraugar's Stonehenge had its culture output doubled already. Thankfully, I can resist it.

Anyone know whether the recaptured Henge retains its doubled culture or did that get reset?

My experience is that Elephants/Cats/Axes casually crush non-Pro Archers/Spears/Axes. I think WE are nerf here having just 7 strenght and i think you forgot the most important unit and thats the HA.
I actually didn't notice that he mentioned elephants. Elephants are definitely significantly better. Cats ARE also significantly better but that's because of collateral damage than the actual strength of the unit. My point was that the strength increase at knights is much bigger for attacking because classical doesn't traditionally add any new defensive units. It does now though with the unbanning (albeit nerfed) of the war elephant.

Horse archers are magnificent units for *defeating* an enemy, but they tend to lack the oomph to complete a solid conquest against a copper-owning rival.

Looks like Ruff and vanrober both want the second half. Should we intervene? Especially with PB53 in mind
