Culture flip one of Nakor's cities imo.

I liked this idea so much that I aborted the goofy military thing. I mean, I AM top in soldiers now but that wasn't too difficult lol.

But I'm now shamelessly running 100% culture slider and building cathedrals on my border cities with both Nakor and Cyneheard. I won't flip a Cyneheard city (though I have a very good shot at stealing a tile or two), but Nakor on the other hand... I already have a couple of his cities that are > 50% my control, and of course each one is just defended by a Quecha so it's just a matter of the dice roll favoring me at this point. Couple others are in the low 50s and dropping a couple percent every turn. My goal is to get 1 flip. I'm also spamming out settlers to fill in some junk land I never bothered to get at the north and south edges of the map - I'm curious if I can catch Lewwyn in land area or not.

So in the last few turns I've gotten around 7 revolts - one was Cyneheard(!!) and the others were all Nakor. Unfortunately that was revolt #1 for all those cities, so still waiting on some second revolts for a flip. Gotta hope I can get one before the ship lands which seems unlikely unfortunately. Any desire for pictures?

Sure, I'd like to see the borders where you're culturally pressing everyone. smile

(please ignore any worker weed you see - I've been spending as little time on them as possible because that's not fun right now and doesn't matter)

Alright, some pictures. First, I started settling some border squeeze cities to help with culture. Basically rush-buy terrace + theater, run an artist (with merc) and build culture and that's a help in the push. So I founded stuff like this city:

Total squeeze city. I founded a couple others where I could fit them but there weren't many spots with legal city locations (I combed both the Nakor and Cyneheard borders). This was T218 and I'm running full-bore culture slider here. You also see me building a cathedral in KK - I built quite a few cathedrals in major border cities as I have resource doublers for the buddhist/jewish/christian cathedrals. So that makes my slider kinda nasty too.

So on T220 here's an idea of the effect this is having:

All those border expansions. Crazy. I stole a tile or two from Cyneheard and they're flipping rapidly from Nakor. Also this was cool:

That city once had more tiles than it's BFC (so it hit expansion 2), and now has none. Unlucky it hasn't revolted yet. Funny though. And then it started happening. I don't have screenshots for EVERY revolt, but I have most of them. T222 was the first:

Look at that squeeze here. All those cities are getting massacred. Really wish I had placed the cities west of them with the intent to flip rather than just to claim land. Then T224 things started really going down:

That's the lone Cyneheard revolt. Then today's turn:

Look at how bad he's crushed between me and Lewwyn. Youch.

Also notice that "what on earth" sign. That's a floodplains that is NOT riverside so it's 3/0/0... and I'm unable to improve it in any way. Some weird glitch. All I am able to build on it are roads/railroads. Weird.

At this point I'm building culture in basically every border city and wealth in every non border city so I can run 90% culture sustainably. Fun. Not sure if I'll be able to get any 2nd revolts in time though. Demos are interesting only because I'm catching Lewwyn in land solely off all the tile steals:

Next turn i'll try to take better perspective pictures to go with whatever revolts I may get.

Yeah, flood plains doesn't let you improve a tile. It's the fact that it's next to a river (has fresh water) that makes the tile improvable.

Try farming the grassland 1N of it, so it becomes irrigated? Probably still won't let you farm it. Basically it's an underpowered Oasis.
I have to run.

Took a break with Nakor out of town. Having a hard time getting any second revolts to happen, but here's the squeeze:

I've been stealing roughly 1 tile/turn for quite awhile now.

This is just funny. Yep those two northern cities are completely isolated now. Lewwyn and Cyneheard are running the slider too:

Pretty sure Nakor is just hitting enter every turn and I don't blame him at all.
