[SPOILERS]The Tyrant realizes that once the world burns it gets really boring....

T204 - We have 21 cities total and 11 are growing this turn after some tile swapping. It's a veritable hanging gardens that will surely vault us back into competition. One of the cities growing is our capital, Mister Love, which was whipped for a grocer during the war with retep while our seafood was pillaged.

The whip at the time eased hunger and provided much needed cash, but we need to get the population back quickly here since this is also our National Epic city. So Happy Face is in a temporary round of belt tightening (again). HF won't starve but it's going to lose a good deal of its stored granary food to get ML to grow sooner. Second city, do your job! hammer

Elsewhere not much else to report, mostly growth. Lots of (1)s next to city names, if you can read them.

Demographics - Food is coming back:

Bonus time, an update on overseas expansion:

Not pictured: The Byzantine colony ship, still sailing down William's left coast toward some future unproductive icy settlement, for fish, or something. Because we built a settler and it has to go somewhere.

Edit: Techs in case people are trying to follow along, when it looks like basically just William and we are consistently reporting.

Empire Map, minus I Burn.

Cultural Map, lots of overlap, lots of cities have changed hands.

What we're building (the stupid wonder is for fail gold, we'll build it around several cities, why not. It can uselessly finish in the capital for extra GPPs).

Economic report.

Government de jour.

Foreign relations, aka, why aren't people fighting?

History lesson.

Trade report.

Foreign governments.

Foreign research.

How we aren't winning.

Demographics.

We're competitive in the non contenders division, as always. bang But here comes more fun, probably.

William is in nationhood so I assume 4 of those are drafts. The others, who knows. But he surely knows we've gone into builder mode and have given up on winning, hopefully he isn't going to take a shot at us. I don't want to play longer turns and whip this empire back down again in a pointless struggle. If he declared I'd probably offer peace for I Burn, which we can't reinforce, and Hell Below, which is already gimped by his culture. Beyond that he could go to hell and take what he was able to after he killed our entire military. Which I assume would mean he'd have to bring a lot of rifles and cannons. Probably doable, but damn if it's worth the effort.

Retep's whips, I don't know what those are and I'm not analyzing his techs to figure it out. He isn't in nationhood so they aren't drafts, just whips. Maybe it's some new dastardly weapons with which to kill us. One can only hope.

Why does that say zero turns for Chichen Itza?

It's an eight, not a zero. My text display is a bit off scale because I restore down the game window to make it fit without covering the taskbar.

T206 - Played turn quickly, don't care anymore. Quickly microed cities, 8 will grow this turn, 2 others 1 food short, can't be helped, can't be bothered to plan in advance at this point. Capital is building Chicken Pizza for fail gold, 7 turns until another city gets a shot at it. Happy Face has almost exhausted its food box, tough, tighten your belts people. You're second class citizens in this empire. They'll get the deer back next turn to just miss starvation and Mister Love will have to keep on trucking back toward full size without the deer from here on out. But it was a good three turn bootstrap, that got us 15 extra food in the capital at no real cost, since the food in the box in the second city isn't going to do anything for us until that city gets whipped again some time in the future. Elsewhere I'm waiting for build queues to clear so I can start mass wealth builds, so we can get our economy roaring again just in advance of someone conquering us in the future. I turned on research to 50% to finish up Paper and get some overflow going, isn't really necessary, but why not. We can build wealth to cover the shortfall as we exhaust our funds now.

End turn, Civstats shows that took me 23 minutes, 3 of which were spent logging in, five writing this report, so that's a 15 minute turn for me. Yes, I've completely checked out. I didn't bother to check into what all of William's and Retep's whips were because I don't really are.

BGN, you may want to take these turns soon. nod

Fake edit: After the roll to T207 here's the power graph, note Willie's little spike. I thought from reading Civstats yesterday that the first four looked like rifle drafts, and then a mix of one and two pop whips after it, so let's see what we have here. (I don't think yesterday's turn is reflected on this graph though, so maybe next turn we'll see a larger spike).

Happy Saturday, everyone go do something fun! dance

This was before Florida played today, right? I just don't have words... alright

So, time for Muschamp to pack up, right Foley?? Right???? bang

Yeah this was from before the game. The saving grace is that I didn't watch the game since it was only on pay per view. I would have probably used a lot of words the little tyrant shouldn't have heard anyway so it's probably for the best that I missed it.

I don't know if you can fire Muschamp although now I'm at least thinking about it now. The trouble is that the Texas and USC jobs will both need filling in the same year and of the three Florida is probably the third best job. So who do you go hire? The first guy I can think of would be Charlie Strong, but he has an expensive buyout. Not that it would stop a potential hire but it's a factor. There's a question of how available he would be, though. I'm just not sure immediately who else you go after who would take the job (that you'd want).

But obviously the OC has to go. Injuries or not, that offense is abysmal. Backups should play and perform better than that unit has, it's just inexcusable two years in a row.

Is the defense not needing a shakeup too? I know they're very injured, but with how one-dimensional Georgia Southern's offense was, that still just looks flat out bad.

Georgia Southern Offense:
Passing: 0 yards (0/3 attempts)
Rushing: 429 yards (54 attempts)
