@Tarkeel I also am very curious if it is the biggest garden in a pitboss game. I suspect someone got it stupid late some game though. But biggest garden pre T100? It is my earliest and biggest garden. Even if I burn in flames this game I've been wanting to do something like this for a while.

In PB51 (base BTS so full stone boost) Plemo built HG on T86 for 13 cities (which was quite grimace-inducing at the time). IMO 17 cities on T91 with 50% stone is in line with or above that.

I'm not even sure I saw a Gardens settler push of this magnitude when Speaker & Sullla were trying to max out that kind of thing. 16 cities is remarkable.

Hope the economy can handle it!

Edit: And Tank! was the perfect space shanty to go along with such a turn

I um shockingly put the half German song on the border with the player from Germany. He agrees its pretty good. Also it evidently uses the correct low German. For how that is different from high German see diplo discord thread.




I know I owe a GP plan but that might be changing due to Charriu.

So I know I SAID I wanted to delay upper part of the tech tree just for a second. Charriu DOES NOT. At least I'm assuming he is the one who is going top, as I imagine  everyone else is scrambling to currency.

Now first it should be noted that Scooter got an engineer. However, I THINK* he used / will use for machinery. There are two players with archery and it makes sense. Assuming I can confirm he used that would mean between that being used and Charriu going top of tree I don't HAVE TO use my engineer on MoM.

So for instance, just spitballing, I could go steal Great Library from Charriu. mischief

Now I was already planning on doing some limited wealth builds to get to happiness, but I obviously could go more all in on the endeavor. If I didn't want to wealth build  I COULD* see if anyone is building Great Wall. I thought about whipping it turns ago but haven't as I wouldn't mind the money. I don't think it would impact my ability to get rare types out of that city and in fact it might help me with the 4 GP. Also, only if I get that money money and with wealth builds could I beat Charriu to free artist.

The other option is I just give up on the top half and go full into econ mode for my plan. It not like IW and early org courthouses are BAD. Using engineer on MoM would save TONS of worker turns which if I went this line I would need. To note for this option I could still not finish great wall / ask around first.

Ok, so the question is do I really want to throw away all my development for 1 wonder? I mean a little.....

But I suppose I'll do the boring develop my 17 city empire instead thing. Getting IW after calendar and using engineer on will also allow me to settle my last uncontested city before I pop 1st GA. Also, getting courthouses up is pretty essential for WheretoGoJohnny GP plan. I would still like to use 1st GA to hook up to top of tree for Parthenon. Its a wonder very few people build, so it might still be there. Paya also wouldn't be a bad pickup.

So ok GP plan below:
#1 Engineer from Roots for MoM

1st GA
#2 Scientist out of Mandalay for GA

2nd GA
#3 Prophet / Spy / Merchant out of WhereToGoJohnny
#4 Sci or Artist  out of Mandalay

3rd GA is trickiest if I want a 4th. - I also think* I want to chain #2 and #3 + Taj
#5 merchant from Lost Coastlines
#6 / #7 are WhereToGoJohnny / Mandalay

4th GA - ya I think just typing how many GPs I need this is being moved back past nationalism. I will say tech rate is a reason to stay on development path.
#8 Engineer from Roots - Roots wants to work tiles, but after all the immediate techs one of my first medieval will be engineering for Notre Dame.
#9 I would like to make it a merchant Lost Coastlines again. The only reason btw I think even getting it twice is possible is thanks to the fact it produced my 2nd library so it just has a ton of random pts, so the 1st Merchant is "Free"
#10 & #11 I can see two paths for. One involves getting the sci out of physics and having capital just not work sci after #7.

#12 if I don't use wheretogoJohnny hopefully a prophet for late game shrine? If I use WheretoGoJohnny for 10 or 11 then artist or sci out of Mandalay for late game.

I would say develop is the smart play. It seems like you have the GP plan pretty well thought out. Does the 4th city really add a lot of value or is the timing needed to get the GPs out in time. I know in general that running multiple GP cities has a diminishing returns aspect to it, but I'll admit this is one of the weaker parts of my game.

Realized there was one song from PB67 I still needed to reuse and I was having trouble with what song to pick. Made it my southermost city which seems fitting.




I came SOOO close to starting down the war path this turn. I'm not sure if NAPs are to the turn you indicate or turn after, but I could EASILY had a nice little stack at Charrius doorstep. However it would have meant a delay in improving NE. I'm already a target and I'm a little afraid of Scooter Charriu gang up before I can counter Scooters insane military tech lead. Speaking of Scooter has has a scout keeping an eye on things, which was definitely a factor. To be fair the development factor was also big. Most of my stare into space time was trying to figure out how to efficiently migrate workers north.

AND I realized forgot to save my picture. Ah well; nothing really changed. I'll do one in two turns for T100 anyways.

Birth GE and assuming Scooter doesn't snipe I should land MoM next turn in capital.

Got incense hooked up this turn. SD is helping me hook the other for Bing.

Realized I may not want / Lost Coastlines may not be capable of two merchants so next turn Braw Sailing will start down that path. Its only long term city with 2 foods that isn't going to be anything. While it could share a food its not like the other fishing village down there needs more than a fish.

T100

Northern gem island city.

I'm just doing development things. All 5 workers around my capital will either end up on gem island or at northern city for rice / dye. I researched IW at 80% last turn just to see if anything was convenient for a loose worker, but didn't turn out good for worker movement. I like the southern one and its making me think of turning Tank into the Heroic Epic city, but we will see. Which would make me sad about not putting StormAlong on stone, but what are you going to do. Its been nice working the stone honestly while I've been happy capped.

I did get MoM; Scooter did say he was thinking about trying to snipe. 
SD got TOA. 
Charriu got Great Library and a great scientist. He also recently got calendar. 

Demos. Love the food. Note my GNP is massively inflated due to creative, stonehenge, & wonders and even with inflation doesn't look great.

Is it sad the main thing stopping me is that I have no clue where the 2 settlers would come from. Now if Pin persuades me pretty hard I could ditch the filler city for now and reroute a worker. HOWEVER, I still think I need some more time to get set up. Now is that 5 turns, 10 turns, or 20 turns. I don't know yet. Its more a feeling. 

Speaking of feeling. I think*** I want to wait on GA until after CoL, mono, & Metal Casting. IE I think I want to work an engineer in Roots. I think its next engineer will be destined for Taj instead of 4th GA. I may still decide to fire it immediately though to hop into / org religion and get that going pre MC / get to other techs faster.

My son woke up super early this morning and was on my lap as I was playing turn. I thought I took a picture, but evidently didn't. 

So Charriu and Scooter organized / forced a trade embargo on me that included SD. 

I'm a little mad. Sure I did 8 cities into HG into MoM, but its not like they aren't doing powerful things. 

I don't blame SD for capitulating in the face of China military UU. In fact it forced me into teching MC JUST in case.

Anyways, this ended my deliberation on what to do.

Razed Charrius border city. If you are going to cancel open borders and show negative thoughts towards your neighbors you really should defend your border cities that direction  shakehead  We will see if he is willing to pay for the spot back. I did start an extra settler because I suspect NOT. 

SD had promised me a loan to get to MC, but he SAYS he forgot, but luckily with capture gold I BARELY had enough to make it there this turn. Now Scooter says he has no ill will, but I figured Charriu might make a plea so better to have credible deterrence. 

I still wouldn't mind the loan as I want to make it to CoL still although Charriu grabbed the religion there. I may end up without one......... Maybe I'll have SD send me a missionary and I'll spread his religion for goodwill. 

I am thankful Bing kept his trade routes open. They are worth a cool 12gpt which is about 1/5 of my per turn income.
