[spoilers] Now, Commodore Frogger, roll those 71 dice

The Frogger part of Commodore Frogger reporting!

My job is to advocating running across the speeding highway, this time in the form of galley-assisted sword attacks.

We are completely surrounded to our North by Krill, Pind, and Thoth, terrible names from ancient times. Barring some diplomatic shenanigans, we can't make any more inroads north and even if we did, somebody else undoubtedly profits more than us. I can't really tell from the map, but it looks like Krill is going to be the monkey in the middle. That could be a curse as much as a blessing. Wait and see, I guess.

Some might notice that our power ratios in the lower left of the screen are still... iffy. But the geography and strategic depth make a total conquest of us difficult and anybody who gains some shallow ground just lengthens his border with a neighbor. Let's see if the other players see it that way too. Ohdear

So, only one way forwards it looks like? But eventually, hopefully, this beautiful shrine blossoms into the best economic engine ever. hippy

One last thing to think about. In PB69, the Pyramids never got built.* So comparing these two games is difficult. 'Mids are amazing and difficult to overstate. Krill can sit back and tech forever with them. He's driving the game now.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

Welcome to the party, Sunless Citadel. You're the last peaceful city we can settle.

Thoth might have commented about this, but funny/sad thing here:

He's received zero spreads of my actual shrine religion, but this is the *second* Islam spread. He'll be able to convert to my minority religion for free, no buffing of my economy at all.

Tense times. Superdeath decided to attack Thoth for real, actually losing a city back to Yuri for his decision there. So watching closely for which war I want in on...I'll probably still default to hitting Superdeath, but where Pindicator swings with his mighty stack of samurai could definitely change things.

Free shock on axes and, uh, RtR swords, aren't amazing special forces to be playing with in this environment, but it's not like I get a UU this game anyway.

City attack bonus up to a massive+50%, makes them very strong.

Ooooo. Hum. Two turns until I was going to stage to fight Superdeath, but if Pindicator is able to actually fight Krill, I might want to go north...

Spectacular fighting up nothing, but still no major shark fins visible. I have one more turn to hit my staging point into Mongolia, so I'll look at the red and purple graphs next turn before calling go/nogo.

Krill's GNP really is ridiculous.
