I think Timmy's current situation (of which he is probably unaware), shows how important diplo is in these games.

I was thinking that too ... but then it also looks like Bob's about to get a nasty surprise from his "friendly" neighbour once this kicks off. Are we about to see everyone but TT in a war?
Hats off to Timmy. Having that huge Production while still beeing No1 in food is impressive. If his military skills are on par to his civ-managing skills scooter and bob are in for some serious spanking.
It's very interesting how Scooter and Sandover are both responding differently to an almost identical problem:
http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showpost....tcount=159 Timmy asked Scooter if he was intending to attack, Scooter didn't want to tell the truth nor lie, so went for the half measure of deflecting. Timmy hasn't bought it, and has gone to DEFCON 1. http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showpost....tcount=262 Bob asked Sandover if he was intending to attack, Sandover has opted to the truth, albeit slightly twisted(?). I think Sandover has a much better chance of gaining something from his response.
I'm not sure if Sandover will gain more from his reply. Is it me or does he have the weirdest diplo style?
Some mighty fine diplo going on here.
Sandover has gone from demanding land tribute to not attack Bob, to Bob demanding military tribute to not kamikaze on Sandover. ![]() @Ilios: It's very overbearing at times, yes. It's working though, he just timed his demands wrongly. As Bob has explained very well, Sandover should've just waited and let the 3v1 take place.
If this really is the only entrance to Moogle's lands from the West:
![]() Then I probably would have gone to war and razed TT's Samba in order to found Isca 1W of it's current position. It's too important. Edit: Or in fact, kept Samba. It's even better.
Or, what Twinkletoes and Moogle are perhaps overlooking, sail a boat around to the south. Not easy, of course, but there is another way around.
