unrestricted leaders, I assume? and I can pick either leader or civ? (first time doing this)

play time - best is evenings for me, so that should be something like 23:00-03:00 GMT - late night to very early morning.

ok, looking at the two vet picks, I think I'm way off base here, but based on my analysis... it has to be...

Liz.

Yes, you're correct on how the snake pick works.

I'll make sure that my spoiler thread, which you can read when your game's over (since it's the same map, you can't read my thread, and I can't read yours), includes an analysis of the Green picks as well as the Vets' ones.

Do we want to mod the game to allow players to build National Wonders that require X buildings? The number is 4 on a Tiny map.

Option 1:
Play a 4CC instead of a 3CC. Same rules.

Option 2:
I create a mod that converts all 4-city prereqs into 3-city prereqs.

Option 3:
We don't change anything, and the National Wonders won't include:
Globe
Oxford
Wall Street
Ironworks
Red Cross
Forbidden Palace

I favor Option #2. I went ahead and built the mod because it took about 5 minutes. The changes I made:
The Palace and Forbidden Palace now only require 3 cities (I saw no reason to ban a palace shift if a player deemed it necessary)
The National Wonders listed above now only require 3 copies of their relevant pre-req building instead of 4.

Pretty sure my pick will get pretty heavily criticized. Do your worst. lol

I favor this. I don't like the idea of expanding to a 4CC, but I'm not crazy about losing the strategic choices of where to place those national wonders either.

Or just make the map size Duel. The actual dimensions of any map are independent from the nominal size.

Or play without the national wonders. Or are you guys afraid of a little variantism? wink

Duel = 4 cities as well. I checked.

BTW - we should decide on this probably before Dazed makes his first pick in case we need to repick as a result. I'm fine with using the mod and sticking with my pick regardless, but it could potentially affect choices.

Personally, i kind of liked that this removed the national wonders. Putting them back in means spiritual, philo, and industrious get beefed a little, so I think people should be allowed to repick, if they so choose.

I'm ok either way, but with a slight preference to keeping things as is.

FYI - greens game and vets game can be different on this one. If we go with the mod, you guys are free to ignore us and keep them excluded.
