I need to correct things, it seems SD hasnt archery and it was GKC since we just saw an archer.
General has been really lucky getting a free spread of Judism from really far land. And we dont get any more .
Lazteuq stopped settling that agrasive since we think they are close to bankrupcy, but hey are growing the cities adn getting better gnp.
SD demos are really impresive. His power skyrockets so hard, this last turns a bit less but still really good on that, food is ahead of us too and he is second on GNP (okey, he is cre plus the libraries he got, but still he is leading all demos)
I ve calmed a bit today, we fear a sea atack from SD since that jungle is too slow for him. We think there is an island in between SD and us, that is prety bad since it has barely food, but if he get it plus CRE he can hurt us a lot. And maybe even getting some of our food. Also that would be a huge jump into us in a possible war.
I also saw that he has OB with lazteuq, he has silver for gold with mjmd, and he has nothing with us, i dont want to be his meat. Ofc he is conected with the other 3 in the other nexus but he is farther of that other nexus.

Middle of the night and I can’t sleep. Thanks for the updates Vanrober, appreciate it. vanrober is of course accurate with everything, except for being a lot more polite about SD’s behaviour than I would have been.
He’s just been incredibly obnoxious for the entire game, and I’m really sick and tired of it. We have done literally nothing to provoke him, and are too far away to reasonably attack. Apparently, that won’t stop SD from killing our scout, refusing to sign OB (with his only protective neighbour!), and being a dick about both at the same time. It feels like the “random SD targeting meter” swung and landed on us at T0, with nothing we can do about it.
Back to regularly scheduled turn reports tomorrow. Just had to get that frustration out of my system.

We have been doing two things. The first is the (genuinely) riveting task of missionary micro; we will have Judaism in nearly every city by T90. Not sure how likely a natural spread is, but unfortunately we haven't got any more since Salmon.
The second thing is discussing our overall strategy. We decided to go for archery next, to unlock our cheap and powerful defender. Then we were planning to go for maths, until we saw this:
Bottom left.
So now we are deciding between Maths and Iron Working (the old plan), or whether we need Metal Casting for triremes first. We've done all the whips we need to for missionaries, so now the plan is to grow our cities over the next ten turns. Then we will begin pushing for the centre islands and the jungle areas. I promised Vanrober that I would whip as little as possible, but it's also a promise to myself because I whip too much. We'll see if I can keep my word...

For some reason SD gave us OB finally so we will try to scout him. Maybe he just wanted to settle that island, if it was just that, im fine with it.
GKC has IW and is making a mine in the analogic space of the jungle East of our capitol so the iron is there. Lets see who is the target of his Praets. I really hope we are not.

We got a natural spread just before we finished our missionary push, which was super helpful. These are the last turns that can happen, before Judaism is already in every city. Saves us 40 hammers, and lets us get culture 2 turns earlier in Blue Whiting. Mjmd also declared war on Superdeath. There are no powerspikes, so it isn't anything serious, but we hope it's a squabble over a new city. But that's also great news! Really nice turn to login to, all around.

SD is already at 11 cities, he asked gold for silver, but we have it already with Jowy, and we are not that kind of people that betray Jowy when he did nothing to us, instead you (SD) really has been everything to us but nice, those 110 EPs are still hurting, so we are not going to give you our last silver for getting something we already have (gold).
Jowy got currency and he has a slightly better economy than us, but with currency, so maybe he is working wealth or whatever, also when we get the extra traderoutes of currency are going to get so much gold. So in one sense we are grateful for giving us KTB of currency.
Lazteuq has a scout on our border and asked for OB, we send him back. We really want to stay nice with people so that we can get our advantage of later game going. We are second of food right now, after Lazteuq, but we are also last on population, so we think once we keep the growth instead of the whip we will be at least like him. On 2 turns we get all the granaries going and on 5sh turns we ll get another city, so we are really confortable with our position right now.

Judaism: spread.
We really slowed down our expansion for this, so hopefully it's worth it. I thought popping our borders and getting pseudo-forges would be really powerful. Getting 4 missionaries in 5 turns out of Tuna was pretty cool. It made me very nostalgic about PB56, and it was easy to see improvement since then, which was neat.
We finished maths this turn, for the boosted chops. Next up is Iron Working, so we can start to settle the jungle, and then Currency because it's great.
Despite my grand claims of settling gradually, I've fallen completely into old patterns. We've been growing cities without settling for 10 turns, and will whip out a wave of 3-4 settlers in ~5 turns from now. D'oh. I guess it's better than not settling at all. Speaking of which, here's our demos (0% science):
Apparently, growing cities is good. Who knew? Vanrober gets all the credit for all the times he's told me to do it. We also finally have power-parity, after being 6th for basically the whole game.

I remember having to use big fag "NO WHIP" signs in PB58 :P They eventually just morphed into "Grow" though.

I wasn't planning to report anything until T97, but this turn there was an interesting development. Basically, SD moved this chariot up at a remarkably inopportune time.
The garrison of Salmon is guarding a settler, and the borders haven't quite popped yet. Which means next turn he can walk in, see that it's undefended, and attack/raze the turn after. The unit is almost certainly meant for scouting, but it's Superdeath, so you can never really know. So after a lot of thought, and a chat with Vanrober, I decided to dry-whip the spear. We need to finish a work boat next turn, and this was the only thing that let us do that while also defending the city. We also might be planning a little something that will tick SD off in a few turns. So this hurt a lot, but ultimately we thought it was necessary.
Iron Working comes in next turn, and after that we'll grab Currency. That should take about 8 turns, although I'm not sure how much the new cities will hurt the economy; maybe more like 9-10. I still can't believe just how quickly Jowy got Currency - his economy must be amazing.

So you're saying I converted you to mass signage after all?

We get two sources of iron. One is at our capital that we knew about already thanks to GKC, and the other is here:
SD saw our galley in Sardine, and moved his up in response. It will be very interesting to see what the border pop from Trout reveals...
GNP graph shows two players doing well, and four players verging on bankruptcy. I'm not sure how much of Jowy and ours is due to culture, but it's still a pretty amazing contrast. We'll get Currency around T104, I believe. Maybe T105.
