New Civ4 Pitboss - season 8 AI championship map

I got through once but the thing appear every time and almost always crashes afterward.

I installed the mod on my other laptop and connected from there. Same thing happened.

If I click Confirm and Exit quick enough on the popup it doesn't crash every time.

Do you have the whatever script it is over on the laptop as well? I don't have anything and I was able to just fine.

I'm assuming your laptop has the dll files and the other stuff needed for zulans pitboss's?

Check your "MyGames" folder. It is the root of a lot of mod problems. You want no mods installed here.

Can someone remind me how to log in to a Pitboss game? It's been so long that I've forgotten completely. Do I need to download the map too?

I'm assuming you an old shortcut with the modified target string you can change. If you need full instructions the last greens game has two different versions (which I have to admit I referenced as I had updated to windows 11 and hadn't backed up sufficiently).

I'm on a new computer so you'll have to remind me how to set up that shortcut, or point me towards those instructions in whatever game was the last greens game.

I hope the instructions on the game page for one of the Old School Games is enough ?
Replace "PBMod_v10" with "CloseToHome_5.0.1"

3 often mistakes:
1. Mod installed under in Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\MODS instead of Civ4_Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods
2. Extracting the Mod creates an unnecessary folder (Civ4_Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods\CloseToHome_5.0.1\CloseToHome_5.0.1) - that seems to be the standard behaviour of the default win11 zip extractor.
3. Only coping the Wrapper.exe. You need to download (and extracting) it from Zulans page, because there are a few accompanying .dll files.
