Hey, great work!
Turn splits are a bitch, but if you're first half you do at least have the chance to win settling races...

An axe. I decided to press on:
Sadly, the top defender was a warrior. I killed it and covered with a combat-promoted chariot. Still, he should have pretty good chances on a counter-attack. Also, I'm pretty sure that he moved forward whatever he kept in his capital and this unit (most probably, a warrior) will arrive in the city this turn. On the other hand, if he loses his axe on a counter-attack, the city is most probably mine. I think, it worth a gamble, given that I most probably only put one chariot at risk.

Also, erroneously posted this in my Alae Pitboss thread. I did know that one day I would have these threads messed up. I promptly deleted, of course, but I really hope that Gaspar isn't subscribed to it. Happily, that game isn't especially popular and chances to it are quite low.

By the way, Gaspar was most probably going for the Oracle. I really hope that I was able to stop him from getting this wonder.

New turn. He killed my chariot and added a warrior into the city. I retreated and offered cease fire. Well, it worth a try.

Barb city. Should be garrisoned with warriors. Really don't know what to make of this location. The spot isn't ideal but potentially it can be an excellent city. I would take it but I'm skeptical about my ability to defend it. Especially given that I'm going to claim gold far away to the other side of my empire.
I offered cease fire to Gaspar but he ignored it. Can't see why he wouldn't want it - we both are in no position to harm each other anytime soon. Most probably, he is just playing mindgames to trick me into building unnecessary military.
I feel a very strong temptation to research HBR and just finish him with HAs. But it will be a really risky play: truly killing him will be quite difficult and, on the other hand, I have a lot of possibilities for peaceful expansion.

Gaspar tries to improve those pigs yet again. Actually, I can expand some worker-turns and bring two axes and a chariot here in time. I'm not sure if it worth it, though...
