Seriously, I think that the game is close to unplayable without MoM nerfed in some way. As it now stands, you MUST build it because you are at the mercy of your opponents otherwise. If it is built by a civ that has a strong position otherwise, you are fucked and there is nothing you can do about it.

I do have plans to nerf MoM, but would like to know what other lurkers think about Gavagai's post up there.

Just make a statistic how many games were won by the player build MoM. I think will be under 30%.I think with just 50% of marble is realy expensive and cames early and have to pay serious to get it. Perhaps just remove the doubler for it, I realy dont see why should change it anyway becasue someone belive he cant win becasue of it.H e is already serious behind and till now its not at all MoM fault.

Even more we need things which makes difference and  make you to pay  the price for it , this way make differnce between player, please dont be Krill and nerf evrithing(i know krill was nerfing becasue he coulndt get them).

IIRC Gav built MoM in PB48 and it didn't do him much good. I like how RtR obsoletes it with Nationhood, as Taj and MoM is a killer combo, but I don't think it needs any other nerf.

I'm sure the reason Civac is doing well is the same reason he got MoM - he's playing a good game.

I think have no doubler is super ok and not obsoleting. To get it you realy must do some serious sacrifice then and if you postpone too much you lose it.  Making wonders weaker and weaker I personaly dont think is helping too much.In this game and in most of them there is not even a race for MoM.But this is just my opinion.

Amicalola's expansion and overall choices were strange to me. I was sure he'd go for the floodplains, his team gave civac way too much land.

I think Civac will devour AT, and in turn be devoured by Gavagai.

Geostrategically, Gavagai is the logical target for more expansion for the same reason AT was. He is big but seems to have issues with his economy. Still a knight attack against 20 cities worth of elephants and catapult seems foolish. We are big enough to get to rifles via endless GAs, FIN and AT's shrine.

I don't think Civac will be devoured by Gav, especially if he doesn't make the mistake of sending a stack of knights to be eaten by cats and wellies. Waiting for rifles is a bit passive though - hopefully he'll find a way to gain more land before then (Amicalola is probably the best target, but that assumes Gav will sit back and let him which isn't a given).

This once again is a PB that is somewhat disappointing. I have the feeling that people are giving up way too fast against civac.

I dont htink is fair  towards Jowy as he played a good game till now.Yeah he is not inlead and going space with his land is not posible but still they could allie against civac and  at least try domething.
