Here's the demos i promised:
You can see for yourself. My MFG just took a big dive because I re-assigned tiles to get Currency done this turn instead of waiting one more turn. I was one coin short of getting it with a decent set up. I had to swap off the wheat in McCully and work the horses which created a small food shortage. Someone with more experience can confirm or reprimand me for that move.
My next goal is more settlers (one started in Blanchard) and a library in the capital.

Wow, you updated! I was going to comment, but the fact that you updated caused my jaw to hit the ground so hard that I had to step away and ice it for awhile, and now I can't remember what I was going to say. Sorry!

When opportunity knocks, I take it! I saw that TT had no units in his city and that he doesn't have bronze hooked up so....
When I moved in I saw he had a warrior one tile away. I ran a WB test and I'll get 75% odds of razing the city if I attack it--that's pretty good. He could attack me but that would be silly since he loses his warrior city defense bonus and the hill bonus and the cultural bonus.
Blanchard just finished a settler when I hit End Turn and I micro'ed to be able to complete another chariot in one turn. He also has a warrior just North of Chrouser but I have a warrior there too so he won't be able to attack me.
I'm guessing he doesn't have archery and he clearly doesn't have bronze hooked up yet. If he has horses he'll be able to build/whip chariots, but I have bronze being hooked up at this moment and I have chariots. So, unless I'm totally surprised by something, he's in trouble.
I wasn't planning a war but when I saw an undefended city, I had to take it. In PBEM16, I had a chance to raze an undefended city of Krill's but didn't take it to try to garner positive diplomatic relations. But, first of all, I don't think the positive relations pays off as well as destroying one fourth of his civ even in a full diplo game. This, however, is NOT a full diplo game!

Well, TT also has a spear within range of the city so when I opened the save, it was a no go. So I was wrong about copper. That doesn't really surprise me. It'd be odd he didn't hook it up. I was guessing based on the fact that I hadn't seen anything besides warriors. I had offered him peace for the city just as a joke but I think that it was a good move because he countered with peace for 10 gold from me. I don't really need peace since I can move my chariot out of the way easily and he'd end up losing that warrior of his in my land. However, I decided to take it because I have a settler that just completed and I want to found my city up there to cut off that border from TT's further expansion. So, now we have 10 turns enforced peace.
Krill also traded maps. I saw he has all three early religions. So he seems to be trying to repeat PB3. Now I'm nervous that he is going for CoL with the Oracle or something like that. So, I micro'ed my tiles again this turn to shave one turn off my CoL ETA. Four turns (three after hitting enter). I can only hope it's enough or I' will have wasted this whole push.
In other news, Yuri and Krill both have had power spikes recently. Since they are neighbors, I hope that means conflict!

Why not raze the city? Not worth the chariot?

Sorry, I used the wrong tense. He "had" a spear in range of the city which is now IN the city. I would definitely have razed a city in trade for a chariot, but my odds of beating the spear on a hill in a city were around 5%!

Ah okay. I did interpret your statement as meaning the spear was next to the city but not in it, yeah.

My bad!
going back to the dot map, the red dot is what I'm planning to settle next. It'll be in cultural battle with TT, but I am CRE so I think that's okay. If I can win that Bronze tile over, then I get the benefit of potentially 1-moving his city if I wanted to.

Random question that occurred to me but I forgot to ask... Since you had a 2-mover, why move in on the city? Like why didn't you sit on the corner (with 1 move still left on the chariot) and if it was still empty the next turn, attack it?
