And the demographics

So, I'm pretty sure that I want Stonehenge, but I'm not sure what sort of micro I should be doing to optimise it, and whether it's worthwhile building a second worker before Henge. My gut says that I should skip the 2nd worker for now, as it won't help me improve the power tiles without more techs. So, to build Henge, I think that I want to mine the open hill first, then chop the riverside flats, then the riverside forest hill. I'm also quite certain that I want to secure that gold forest/fish location quickly after securing Henge.

Tech path, I think Bronze -> Fishing -> Agri is where I want to be heading, since my Worker will be busy chopping Henge, and Financial Fish > dry plains wheat.

Demographics seem to strongly suggest that one of the creative civs may not be going worker first, and is working a forest hill instead of their floodplain. They're also researching a tech with no pre-reqs. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't work their floodplain at this stage of the game, it's easily the best initial tile for everyone bar slowcheetah/ottomans, but they can't be working it yet because the MFG is at 4, not 5, and their borders haven't expanded yet.

Everyone but SianCat and myself appear to have gone Fishing first. With this new information I almost certain it's Brick who is working a 1F2H tile.

Well, whoever wasn't working the floodplain has come to their senses. Also, someone is researching AH after going Hunting first, which is baffling.

I'm going to take a bit more of an indepth look at the demos, hopefully it all makes sense.

SianCat reserached Agri first.
The other 3 went Fishing first.

The other 4 civs are on 16 GNP, 17 GNP, 19 GNP and 21 GNP.

One civ, the 16 GNP one, is working a 1F2H tile instead of their floodplain. Therefore, they can't be creative. They aren't building a worker, otherwise they'd be working the floodplain, or they'd be at 5H with the expansive bonus. Therefore, this is likely slowcheetah (Izzy of Ottomans), who is building a workboat.

The 17 GNP civ cannot be Creative either. Therefore, they must be MusicMan (Liz of Egypt)
. Probably building a worker on the floodplain.

The 19 GNP civ is researching a tech with no prereqs, so it's probably SianCat (Hatty of India) researching Fishing.

Which leaves the 21 GNP civ, researching a tech with 1 prereq, as being Brick (Will of China) probably researching Bronze Working.

Does that look right/plausible?

Also, am I being too paranoid with the settling deal? I don't really want to settle the spoke myself at this stage, but at the same time, I don't want Brick settling on the red dot, since it'll leave me with nowhere to settle when I'm backfilling.

It also makes a city 1E of the fish less viable, since I'll lose the culture war on the tiles on the west of the canal.

I definitely need to know SianCat's response to my NAP proposal before I can play my turn. I can build a warrior to defend my capital in exactly the right number of turns if I switch now, but I really want my worker out.

Well, being the wonderful diplomat that I am, I seem to have all but declared war on SianCat. lol Oh well, if they're going to screw up my game, I'm going to screw up theirs. Hopefully, when I wake up tomorrow morning I'll have a nice peaceful message from them that will allay my fears, otherwise, it's Holkan time.

It's safe to put another turn into my worker, so I will.

MusicMan finished another no prereq tech, so that's 8 turns of research, which MUST mean he's researched finish and hunting. My warrior is going down to take a look at SianCat.

The state of play.

Looking good so far, Azza. You don't seem to have any lurkers here, so I'll plant my flag here, if you don't mind.

Now to catch up on the diplo thread....

Hopefully, having a lurker will inspire me to make my updates slightly less vague, and slightly more frequent. lol
