Edit: Or not . It's like Jowy is fighting the entire world at once. Oh well, it's in their interest, AT is screwed and everyone else gets some discount techs. How should he approach this? Simply cat and attack? The thing is, the ballistaphants are going to simply kill the chariots, they won't even touch the top defenders. So maybe bombard, kill chariots, and save the maces and longbows for later? I dunno, seems that ballistaphants are more effective on the field on the defence.

Nah the apology from me would be regarding civstats posts. He shoulda likely pretended a bit on the cornflakes embargo (like everyone else did) and then he could pick and choose a target.

Tell you what though, (and pleading inexperience), he could probably sit back now and build for a good while shuffling his stack from border to border for looks. Ongoing peace from Jowy in his UU sweet spot would catch folks out.

Ballista elephants only target mounted units outside of cities.

For Jowy's plan to bypass and attempt a 4-way fork, I think if AT keeps his head on Jowy will lose. It will take 4 turns to set up that fork, and in those turns those 4 cities get at least 2 whips each. That turns into a mix of 8 cats / hitters and then AT mauls the stack. We'll see how it goes, but it strikes me as too clever by half, based on the pictures the players have posted.

I agree Sareln, though looking at the pictures I think that AT is actually not building Cats which might hurt him badly. If he gets down the Eles to Str 4 he can kill them even with LBs, so it would be clearly better to get Catapults. But it seems he'd rather build Chariots.

well, we'll see what the situation is. Since he didn't take the city (our score didn't go down) he did one of the following:


1) Tried to bring down the walls
2) Attacked and failed to take the city
3) Accepted peace
4) Decided to move around the city.

He chose option #4!! I thought that was a bad option for him, but he took it.



btw - 2 of his axes are c2/shock, one of the chariots has C1/shock.

my thoughts:

2 pop whip the LB in Magnum
1 pop whip the LB in NCIS
Move everything into LA Law. Upgrade spears to pikes and the 3 archers to LB. Drill promo the crossbow.
move the workers to where teh mace is, SW of the corn, in case he moves the stack to Magnum and cuts the road with the chariots - I can kill the chariots and rebuild the road.

leave the archer in NCIS where it is, for happy.

Debating killing elephants with maces - I can move 1 mace into LA Law and do it, but the other I can't cover, so it will likely die. Might be worth it, anyway. Any thoughts?

I'll have one more upgrade I can make - I'm planning on doing that in SWAT - upgrade a CG III archer to a LB.



Other news:

Founded Quincy, ME in the Mindy's Moai spot. Moved MASH to a workboat build. Changed BJ and the Bear to a granary. Whipped in a mace in CHips (has to deal with the barb sword) and an xbow in The OC (deal with the stupid barb warrior).

BLockade continues.

Tech, etc - Jowy still doens't have metal casting, btw.
