Gaspar and Lewwyn listen to backseat drivers Brick and Noble

Yeah I might be slightly unhinged.

Okay so I opened the turn and I was greeted by SD offering Cow for Cow. He's seen my settler and knows where I'm going so I assume this is like a peace offering and he just wants the cow. I accept the deal. Then he offers me gems. SO I interpret this as he's either offering the gold site or he's offering me gems to compensate for TAKING the gold. Him supplying gems and settling the gold is a no go because this is nto just about the happy. This is about the gold tile yield too and there is no way I'm staking my happiness on his supplied gems while he has the gold. I'm not allowing my empire to be built off a resource that disappears if we go to war.

I sent this:

My goal is to say, we have ivory at cap and you have your gems and if we don't have our gold we're going to war.

So what does the situation look like?

I haven't pillaged the road yet, but Gaspar Noble, do you think we should? If I leave it and don't pillage is it a sign of peace and if I pillage is it a sign that gold is a no go?

Notice he has sent his worker to the forest by the cow, and one to the SW. If he wants to he can settle the grass tile that we want to settle this turn. But if he does that it will be on flatland and MUCH easier to take down. If he wants to settle on the hill or forest it will take an extra turn and we can settle the gold first.

Do we settle this hill or do we settle the grass flatland that also grabs cows if he doesn't settle this turn?

Gillie is getting a chop into a settler and slow building the settler in 5t. The 2 pop whip is actually slower. And thhis allows us to grow to 4 after theis settler and then 2 pop whip a different settler. Also we will road the way to the new city. Also I think if SD settled this turn we settle that settler just north with the corn and gold in second ring and chop out a quick monument.

Why did you end turn if we are still considering whether to pillage the road or not?

How many turns left on the treaty? I think we absolutely pillage the road.

I just did it out of habit, before I got feedback from the group but I think its okay because I pillaged the road now before  his turn and it was legit part of our turn.

Peace accepted on t59 so I believe we have 5t.

Well it's definitely OK since we did it before he played. But we left a window open for him to play before we got to pillage it.

I think obviously the gold is non-negotiable. I think we should plant on the flatland because its a better city. I think I'm tired of neighboring Superdeath. I think Amicalola and mjmd can suck my whole dick. I think democracies should count all of their votes. I think white people shouldn't be allowed to vote anymore, because fuck white people. I think its embarrassing that we let Amicalola settle up on us like that. I think Superdeath is just Kuro with slightly better PR. I think I'm glad I'm on vacation. I think I don't like the city name Gillie - wetfoot but I like all of our other city names. I think maybe we should have taken a hint from the signup thread and passed on this game. I think its funny that everyone is treating Noble like he's SevenSpirits in the PB56 signups. I think its hard for me to contribute as much as I'd like to this game because of my work schedule and that makes me sad because I was looking forward to hanging out with you guys. I think our civ feels very much like a Lewwyn civ and not very much like a Gaspar civ or a Noble civ. I think Brick should contribute more because he's funny and that's all we need him to be.

Are those enough thoughts?
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

YAY!
Good thoughts. I think that the amica settling up on us was in part because we just couldn't shit out enough settlers and units to cover it. The border with SD took priority since he is so much closer. Also we settled better cities before settling the commodore cow city. And we were settling in the direction of the gold so that we could settle the gold sooner, and even that may have been too late. I actually think this is more like a lewwyn-noble mash up game because some of the decisions I would have done differently without noble's input. That said I don't think we're in a terrible position, we're just dealing with what we have.

I think we may have ended up with a worse game because of my input. lol I take responsibility.

Gold city: IF you believe you can defend it, settle grassland, seems clearly better city spot.

Amicalola: Cities in your face have the added benefit of lower distance maintenance when you take them from him

What's the overall picture of the land as you know it?
