I'm thinking that we do not want to spread religion to the German team in order to avoid future "we refuse to fight our brothers in the faith" unhappiness.

I think its odd that they don't realize we can build missionaries w/ OR, and are in OR, so we don't need monasteries.

Well obviously we're not going to trade our luxuries for health resources we don't even need, but it would be worthwhile to spread Hinduism to them if they'll actually spread it themselves later. Their message seems to indicate that is not too likely though.

I don't think the "brothers in the faith" unhappiness penalty is much of a consideration, I doubt we'll be affected much given how much happy we'll have at that point.

Edit: oh they are in OR? We should tell them that they can build missionaries at any time then, if we do spread Hinduism to them. I think that's definitely worthwhile in that case.

We should send them a missionary just to scout around. This will save some time later and is a perfect cover that meanwhile provides us some shrine gold.

If we do not agree to plot with them against WPC, they're going to know we're coming for them. So, let's just lie. We can direct them to build whatever is going to be the worst counter against our invading army. May as well twist the knife deeply. Tell them to build toward crossbows. They would never get there and they'd still get crushed by knights anyway. Muahahaha

if they don't have religion, I doubt they are in OR. honestly I doubt they have even researched monotheism, although I'm sure kjn could tell us that. they probably have no way to manually spread the religion.

there's no reason to scout w/ the missionairy, sulla is already using military units to scout since they started scouting us.

I don't think its necessary to promise a military alliance here either. we don't have to promise not to invade them, especially since they haven't asked us that yet - just don't renew the NAP. no reason to volunteer a lie, just keep our mouths shut.
