So, you are at T240 right now? And you have finished now all 4 towers?

![]() Demographics screenshot. I actually think I'll hold off on the civics swap to Consumption for a turn. Getting taxation would really really help my cottages, and it is a 1 turn tech with the overflow from mathematics.
It's worth noting I have the choice between working mines, and working sages. And I have very little reason at the moment not to go for sages. Only one city is working any noticeable number of hammer tiles. That is the capital, working on the Tower of Mastery.
I'm still not sure I'd be near beating or equalling PB at MFG if I put every single possible citizen to producing hammers though... He has the Altar of the Luonnotar at high levels. Every single one of his hundreds of priest specialists is producing four hammers, as well as his many blasting powder empowered mines. I could see his progress through the altar by seeing the big spikes in production.
So in checking out how long it would take to get the tower... It's a 60 turn build from scratch. I think with my economy configured for maximum gold/turn I'll be getting around 1000gpt +/-100.
A completion date of T260 would be fairly reasonable actually. 20000 to complete 2/3 of the hurry cost? Sounds about right. Maybe even shave off a few turns due to a great merchant spawn. Considering how sidetracked from the objective I've gotten, this is roughly comparable to how fast I'd get the tower in single player beeline. And that is after losing two key research wonders to PB in the form of the Great Library and the Crown (still fairly gutted about losing the Crown of Akharien. Frigging blight...). I think this just proves I need to buck up my ideas in SP. I'm of the opinion that you could get the tower completed at around T200 or earlier with a truly dedicated strategy, and a decent map layout.
And yes I have considered God King to boost production, but going from the massive maintenance reduction of City States over to the Maintenance increase of God King? Not worth even a 50% boost in production. It would probably drop me from making 1000gpt, to making 500-600gpt. This map has a toroidal world wrap, and is emperor difficulty. Maintenance is noticeable even filtered through 7 law nodes and the city states civic.
Loads of stuff going on. I'm sure PB's told you all about it.
Long story short, I sure didn't expect Auric to get killed by that Airship. ![]() Auric Descended Must have been one of the Airships from Final Fantasy. ![]() Killed the unimaginably powerful god creature seeking to enslave the world. Must be getting near the end of act 2.
Are you serious? The airship had the Godslayer and killed Auric?
