So he'll draft muskets when you attack? Or he hasn't revolted to nationhood just yet?

So right after i posted last, GKC revolted and has started drafting. Luckily, my 2v1 plan vs GKC is working nearly flawlessly. I say nearly, because i could have landed 2 knights next to a GKC island this turn, but i was hoping to bypass it and head towards other islands... WELLL the galley cant cross this lovely 1tile ocean to get to them so sadly... he might draft/whip in that island next turn.

Main battlefield. im hoping he abandons Friedland or sends some of its garrison away so that my knights a couple tiles north, can get better odds. Hopefully when i capture Eylau, the culture will collapse a bit so i can hit his collateral stack if it dares get closer to my stack.  ( its currently in his capital )

Ive got a t200-210 NAP with TBW and Raskol so im not worried about that front. Only wildcard is if Cairo has been planning some sort of huge backstab with GKC. Im also going to grab the GM from Economics and after a couple more builds ( and waiting for Raskol to get PP ) ill pop the 3man golden age and go straight for Rifles. Id have gone for cannons, or Cuirs had we not been using Krill's shitty ocean mod/not had the MoM. Alot of GKC's cities are coastal, so im hoping i can burn alot of their food and starve them into submission while my stack slowly captures cities. Hopefully this will get us a concession..

Have you got plans to take the walls down in his cities or are you just stacking dead knights up and climbing over them? :D

How about going to Astro/Chemistry for frigates that will take the walls down nicely in coastal cities? Rifles are are awful slow moving.

catapults are in that main stack, the other knight stack can still hit the city the cats are going to bombard, but if he retreats units from the coastal city they can sweep in and take it from where they are.

Frigates sound pretty good, only issue is Krill's stupid ocean movement penalty makes any kind of non-coastal attack take 2-3t MORE to achieve. Ill look into it based on the situation when i login though.

Got GKC to use a draft usage on an island i cant conquer till either a border pop  vs HIS border... or galleons. Soo.. lol. Also i will be conquering his island city where my knights are. Unless he rolls really well.

Moved some knights to possibly snipe another city. I could potentially capture 4 cities next turn, but more likely... 3. Im going straight for his island cities south of his capital with my fleet of galleons galleys/privateers while my main stack slowly takes whatever it can.

Now, to talk about these concession talks. Cairo obviously believes he still has a chance, or at least wants to see this through. I get that. The shitty thing is.. GKC basically said "hey guys, either you break your NAPS and dogpile SD or he wins" While he could of course say that via Full-diplo to each person, the tech thread isnt where i would voice that. It also looks like he is sending his entire main stack towards Cairo instead of towards me, the better target for his collateral than Cairo's Collateral-lacking stack of musketeers and knights. Im going to assume that is to more or less force this game to concession? Which i am of course... fine with, but i dont mind playing on. Just wish players wouldnt voice ANY concession talks in the tech thread.

I agree that open concessions in the tech thread should not happen, even with full diplo.

Actually, with full diplo I think the tech thread concession is fine, it's just another form of diplomacy, which is why it's frowned upon in a no diplo game.

And I think it's good for you in that the conceding players are more likely to hit Raskol and Cairo to end the game quicker than to attack you.. The thing to be aware of (as always) is that you can't afford to lose your stack because Cairo has more incentive to attack you now, but he's still Mr Cairo, so I don't see him changing his plans suddenly.

True, but still feels a bit.... wrong. I like concessions, but i also really like mid-late game warfare. PB43/48 are my favorites because of later game fighting. If my reputation could just let me GET there when i *dont* rush...

ive agreed to let Cairo have everything East/south of the capital. ( so not including the city north of the capital ) Which gives me 11 cities + more city locations. He grabs 8 or 9 cities i believe. I still think once GKC is basically down to just island cities + maybe Ulm, the game should be called... since Raskol/TBW wont have ANY chance of winning outside of a huge dogpile in 30t... but ill keep playing till Tanks and then run Cairo over. Right? RIGHT? I wont let him stock up on 500 MG's/Artillery to win another culture victory ffs

The gold wave/rush is coming.. Helped along by the fact that GKC must want this game over so badly that other than whipping/drafting, he hasnt sent ANY units my way ( he has shuffled some defenders around, but no catapults/ect )

Which, while great... does feel a bit of a hollow-victory.

Finally got Raskol to trade PP to me for Education ( not yet as of this screenshot, but he logged back in later and did it ) So ill likely pop the golden age once i capture Friedland.

Totally fully-invested in this war. Yep.

Had to send some knights/muskets a bit north incase GKC sends a decent WE/musket stack ( like 7 units ) towards one of my cities. Would be annoying, but overall better than them sitting in a city. Workers are basically out of stuff to do, so im hoping he takes some of the bait and i can grab easy kills on units.
