And yep, I screwed up with both Carthages, that plains hill is a bit too strong. I hadn't considered it worth losing the sexy wet rice, but lake fish and plains hill sheep are apparently enough in and of themselves.

heh, the two carthage threads are the only ones I have read. Do the other starts not have a PHF near the lake?
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Azza's slow-building a Work Boat while researching Bronze Working, apparently waiting to whip it. Is that a good idea? Shouldn't you work the plains hill forest instead?
More people have been to Berlin than I have.

Building it via PH:

T0 - T6: work PH - 28/30 in wb, 0 commerce, 0/22 food
T7: work 2/1/0 - 30/30 wb, 0 commerce, 2/22 food
T8: net fish, work fish - 1 hammer, 3 commerce, 7/22 food
T9 - T11: work fish - 4 hammer, 12 commerce, 22/22 food -> size 2
T12 - T13: work fish, 1/2/1 sheep - 10 hammer, 20 commerce, 8/24 food
T14: Anarchy to Slavery

Building it slow via Slavery:

T0 - T7: work fish - 8/30 in wb, 24 commerce, 24/22 food -> size 2
T8 - T10: work fish, sheep (one turn 2/1/0 instead) - 16/30 in wb, 35 commerce, 9/24 food
T11: Anarchy to Slavery
T12: whip wb, work fish: 47/30 in wb, 38 commerce, 12/22 food
T13: net fish, work fish - 18 hammer, 41 commerce, 17/22 food
T14: work fish - 19 hammer, 44 commerce, 22/22 food

So at T14 you have made nearly double the commerce, double the hammers and have 8 food less. I guess thats ok, especially as you can use that overflow on T13 instead to put it into a worker (23/60), grow T14 and T15, put T16 into the worker (30/60) and whip it T17. Worker on T18 ready to improve sheep or corn. I'm not sure how it works out with timings for the tech and I don't feel like simming it out, but yeah, if you start with a workboat then it seems slowbuilding it is the right answer.

Looking at the latest screenies of scooter and rego, scooter also has copper in his BFC while rego has it not even close. Yes, scooter moved, but even without moving he would have it 3rd ring (and just moving on the grassland next to the fish would have gotten him wet rice, sheep, fish and the copper).

Thats why I rather have a full mirror.

So, um, seriously. Regoarrarr is giving Visqi advice. That's fine for her; mechanics advice to newbies is great. But she's exploring Scooter's position in the vets game.

Is there any sort of precedent for a player looking into a spoiler thread he's not supposed to?

Is it just me or is Pindicator's horse city better than they're making it, even if it's not an amazing city?

It's fine, constant bitching about my map is because Noble. Plus, the assumption that the gold to the north is another player's land, rather than their second gold.
