Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[Spoilers] Finding OH: wetbandit and ipecac encounter some sharks

We've been chatting quite a bit, which has severely impacted our thread views.

We are technically up for a leader. We have discussed CHM/PRO, but EXP, or anything else really, is on the table.

Non-EXP/IMP sandbox: settler finishes EOT29 with 1 worker. T30 settler can move and 37 f/h is going into a worker. Cap is size 3 working cow, corn, and sheep. One forest has been chopped and worker is looking for something to do (probably chop another forest).

It's slowish, but the wheel finishes at T33 and then we can decide whether to research AH, pottery or myst. Pottery is probably what we need but we'll see.

Working on exp.

Our discussions so far:

We want PRO for CKNs. FIN is out (already taken), while we don't want ORG and SPI.

CRE is decent but unexciting. IND is okay with no IND choices with 3 leaders remaining, but demands a narrow strategy of Pyramids. (And imo the newbs will build all the wonders too early so we won't get much milage).

EXP or IMP are the strong choices, while CHA is the fun one.

If you pick EXP/PRO I promise to ded-lurk you two neenerneener

Haven't read anybody else's thread yet, so I can spreculate that a high player count probably makes happiness easier to come by (= more resource trades), but CHA's bonus happy is still useful because it lets you do lots more 1pop whips. Also synergises with PRO's cheap Granaries which make regrowing faster.

Oh oops you picked PRO/CHA already. Great choice!!

Definitely not. There isn't even a fishing civ here. Lost of myst civs though, on which ipecac appropriately observed higher likelihood for us to conquer a shrine. hammer
