A simple message should suffice, just to let them know we noticed. After all they might think it went unnoticed in the chaos of the war.

I do NOT agree with offering any kind of trade to CFC to entice them to stop behavior they already are not alowed to do. If we have no teeth right now then go with ASM's latest suggestion. Vaguely, "Stop, or else." If they say no then we reply with an offer that they delete the chariot, otherwise we will kill it. In the interest off mutual trade routes we would highly recommend deleting the unit. If they refuse, send the next round of draftees to Starfall and kill the chariot. Pretend-NAP or not, CFC is at WAR with us. Stop pretending otherwise.

And I don't remember the specific text of it, but didn't we have a clause in the NAP that says something to the effect that "neither team is allowed to take any actions that would lead to war"? In what universe could CFC imagine that would allow them to pillage our cities and that NOT lead to war? If I'm not imagining that NAP clause we're within our rights to call them deal breakers and demand that they remove the chariot from the war front if they want to keep the NAP. Of course, before that, draft a round and send them to Starfall. I can't imagine CFC has a lot of defense in that shitty front city of theirs. It wouldn't be merely a passive defensive reinforcement if we put 8 maces (or whatever we can spare) in Starfall, CFC would notice.

I don't want to divert resources that could be better spent destroying the Germans sooner but if we continue to allow CFC to run amok over our NAP we're going to continue experiencing amplifying acts of sabotage and aggression from CFC until we force them to stop. Stop it now.

If we are aiming for the moral high ground, then a public post about how RB will act in other's theater of war (and by implication, how we expect others to act in ours) is the way forward.

I can see us DOW on CFC but not actually doing any killing as a way to control their chariot. It is very similar to what they did to CivFr to control CivFr GMerchant. We should also spin it as a peace keeping move.

Imaging it playing out like tihs ...

1) we ask CFC to stop pillaging (we need to send this message before they get to play this turn - just get it done)
2) they pillage
3) we DOW on them and put a row (or column) of our units that block that chariot in the east

I would be quite happy to leave a worker unprotected that their chariot can see and hit if it wants to. Our way of saying that this DOW is just a way of getting them to stop pillaging and that we remain 'at peace' and trust them. If they do hit the worker, then we condemn them to the world ... and swear an unending pogrom.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

We need to send a clear warning to CFC first, before doing anything else.

If we DOW CFC, what's to stop them from burning Starfall and Eastern Dealers to the ground?

Yeah, only that clause is retarded because as far as I'm concerned, having Sommerswerd on your team is an action that leads to war. lol

Something like 1 archer and 1 axe, IIRC.

I'll try to talk to Yossarian in the vein of how I handled the pillaging with Apolyton. However, going all "internet tough guy" with CFC is an all-around terrible idea for so, so many reasons.

I'll send an acknowledgment message over to WPC too. Not sure what they were expecting us to say back to them so quickly since their previous email had no questions in it, and we're locked out of the game right now. lol

Sent this off to Beta at WPC real quick so he can know we're alive and not ignoring him.

RB Wrote:Yep, I got the email, thanks. Sorry, I was very busy over the weekend, and we can't get into the game until it's our turn again, so I don't have much to add just yet... We'll have to see how their team responds - we'll let you know how things look.

Thanks,
