By one sided defensive pact, I mean should someone declare war on you, I will immediately go to war with them. However, if someone declares war on me, you are under no obligation to declare war. I think this says it all for his play ... he doesn't even realize he has two GP just sitting around.

Okay. The trick is that he vassals to you, instead of Iskander. Push him too far and he'll you'll regret it.

This is what I think will happen ... - Caer offers vassals to Isk
- I play my turn and offer a Defensive Pact to both Isk and Para
- I also declare on Caer
- Isk plays his turn, accepts(?) the vassal and finds himself at war with me
- No idea what happens to my Defensive Pact offer to Isk
- Para plays his turn ... accepts my Defensive Pact but doesn't find himself at war with anyone because they started before PA started

I declare on Cear and take a city ... I also find that Defensive Pacts aren't available if one party is at war (me). Guess I should have known that.
