Depends, there's no single answer. Some games like Iberian Imperialism need a specific map vision so I put a few hours of effort into tailoring that. Some like Santa's Workshop use the map for theming but not much more. Sometimes the map comes first and the scenario itself *is* the map, as in Dutch Maze-ters or Hill Valley. And some like Mansa's Muse can run on pretty much any map with minimal editing.
There's a function in Worldbuilder to reveal or unreveal tiles, in the box on the top right.

Now to some extent you can do whatever you want in low difficulty single player and it can work out fine, but you are definitely harming yourself in multiple ways by researching meditation.
Stonehenge is a much better idea; it's a good wonder, and it's REALLY good if you are charismatic.

I find this funny because there's a bunch over at CFC trying to vote it the worst wonder atm.

Most wonders can at least be situationally useful. If we count National Wonders I think my vote for worst wonder goes to Red Cross.
I have to run.

I'll take Space Elevator as worst in the game. After that, Red Cross sounds right.

I find it hard to believe that CFCers would vote Henge so lowly. Henge is one of the most overbuilt wonders in the game...

Stonehenge isn't being overly bashed, space elevator/chichen itza are easily ahead, but in the last 100 posts or so there were pushes for Stonehenge and MoM(!!) in-thread.
If it was national, id also put red cross as worse then the elevator.

I personally dislike Stonehenge; I feel the capital should be pushing out nothing but settlers and workers in the first thirty turns of the game. If I don't want to worry about popping borders, I pick a Cre leader. That said, I don't think it's a bad wonder for those who know how to manage their early development better than me. My vote for most pointless world wonder (foolishly, I'm sure) goes to Angkor Wat. Priests, really?

I would not rely on the opinion of random CivFanatics posters on any subject related to anything Civ-based.

The wisdom of crowds breaks down under propaganda.

Worst wonders in my view...
1) Space Elevator
2) Chichen Itza
3) Angkor Wat
4) Versailles
5) Hagia Sophia
Versailles is not a terrible wonder per se, but it costs way too much and is unlocked at Divine Right. It's not a bad GE target if you already have the tech. Hagia Sophia suffers from a similar problem in that Theology is rarely researched by more than one civ until very late in the game, and it's quite expensive.
