Scoopin got repeated battle results after a reload in PB8. but even if it costs us a knight or two we just need to eat it at this point, I think. This is a mess we caused *twice* and the sporting thing to dois take the re-reload and follow the rules this time.
As for the city capture, we can't very well change that on a reload. Thats a pretty public thing that would doubtless cause another seizure of team CFC's noblest players.
Is the reloaded save still available?

Plako just wrote this over at CFC:
Quote:Apparently aptmod could be disabled for a short period of time (Caledorn sent a messsage concerning this). If CivFR/Caledorn could arrange a time when both are available they could do this together and then enable aptmod afterwards. If this technically works, it would be superior to any other alternative.
Hopefully that works, because that would be very ideal.

Well suspending the mod is effectively the same as the recompiling solution that I mentioned.

Agree. We should say something along of lines of this being a mistake and we regret for that. But we did un-pause this game intentionally during previous pauses, that too without notifying anybody. At that time, in CFC thread somebody asked who un-paused it. We just kept quiet. The teams that followed those un-pauses will surely think we are asses and I guess that is somewhat true.
Also, I saw somebody saying we are not following CFC thread at all. hmm? But shouldn't we follow the game thread at least? We agreed that game will be administered through that thread. Then why this excuse. KJN checks it, but this time it is late. This time we requested a reload and isn't it our responsibility to see it through?

* Sorry we forgot to pause
* The 2 hours / 15 minutes thing
* We wouldn't want for CivFr to lose their turn of course
* We would prefer to not reload because of the battles if a solution can be found, but we'd do that if nothing else is possible
* We'd like plako to come back as admin, and that CFC must publicly state what, if anything, have against plako

We could also state that our primary turn player was out of town, and we had a backup turn player filling in who was not aware of the need to pause.

I hate this mod. Nobody had any idea what we were doing was to the detriment of another team being able to play.

Are we going to post something?
Also, what's up with this "it's our fault, the position we put civfr in" etc. We forgot to pause yes, but that was an accident. We did unpause the game in the past... yes, after extreme frustration at turns taking a week and after it took like months to decide to shorten the timer in times of war with the German team not ending their turns on purpose. I am all for playing fair and all and I think we did, but give me a break...
EDIT: Also, it's not like we are saying that we won't accept a reload or are asking civfr to lose their turn. We made a mistake and that we are willing to do whatever is reasonable to fix it.

If we can recompile the mod then I think that we should request that every team's unique clock is displayed in the scoreboard so that it is explicitly clear who's timer is running and how much time each team has left on the clock.

Hmm - we seem to be discussing the current pause / un-pause situation, mod, etc in multiple threads at present. I think the best location for it is the Rant Thread. Can I suggest that we take it there?

See below. I told all of you to be careful, but did anyone bother to check things when they saw the game was paused?

I also put in a notice that we are ready to play on over at CFC, though I think it'd be gentlemanly of us to allow CivFr, Univers, and CivPlayers time to finish their turns before we unpause the game and do a Scooter marathon session.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width
