Any public wifi you can try? Local library or coffee shop ect.

So this is a passing situation? In general I think then it's common practice by now that a spoiled lurker can take a few turns with instructions. Of course I don't know the whole picture.

Theoretically passing, yes. Only problem is I can't really tell when it will get fixed, only that it will.
Not really within consistent walking distance Mjmd, and my partner has taken out car on their trip for the next 1.5 weeks (I am trying the hermit lifestyle). Australians are oddly stingy with their public wifi (most cafes don't for example).

Another option is a weak player on the other side of the world could maybe play my turn(s) while I wait, as they are unspoiled and their spoiler information from my perspective is unlikely to become relevant for them.

The way internet works here is the government is in charge, and as I'm in a rural ish area it will literally just be the first day someone is available to install the necessary components. If I'm really lucky that could be Tuesday, if I'm unlucky it could be in two weeks. Shockingly, as far as I can tell I don't even have a way to contact them - I just have to wait for them to contact me. Grumble grumble.
Do you have any neighbors with whom you are on friendly terms and who could loan you internet access? At the very least, it's the way to troubleshoot, whether it's your phone or mobile operator.
(I understand if it were so easy, we probably would not be having this conversation, but it would not hurt to mention it, I think.)

I like the idea! Don't think we've ever done it before but it sounds like a good solution for big games like this one. Lurkers will need to decide how it is applicable though and whom to nominate as a potential replacement.

As far as I can tell, I don't have any neighbours at all. There are a lot of air bnb's around here, which is it's own issue, in addition to large properties many of which are private holiday houses. Probably my only big regret about moving here - I thought the country was meant to be all about community.  then again, Ive only been here two weeks, I may just not have met them.
