Not recently. We sent them a message asking them to give WPC directions to us. Caledorn caught me on chat a few days ago and basically let me know that they did pass the directions on. He also basically said he didn't have anything else to discuss at the moment, so I just said we'd keep in touch. He also said he wasn't sure if WPC was going to send anything to meet us or not. So no, it's been quiet for the last few days.

I see Caledorn on chat now, so I'll notify him we've met the German team in accordance with our deal with them.
I'm not sure what the best course of action with the German team is - maybe we just want to assign MH as our diplomat to them? Either way, we want to find out the usual things:
1) how close to us they are
2) who they have contact with
3) how much they've explored
4) If they need help locating the enter button on their keyboard

I'd rate 4) as top priority. 
Do we know anything about the individuals on that team, maybe any noteworthy and well publicized games they've participated in? We have our famous Pink Dot, I'm wondering if there is any terminology specific to them that is known that we can use to build closer ties? With Sommer's typical tech thread diplo featuring his "super friendly advice" in support of their slow play, it would be nice to be able to counteract that with some friendly stuff that shows we have taken notice of the Germans in some way. Kind of like Eeyore's " Thanks for noticing me". Minor as that is, what else do we have? Friends make cooperation easier.

Oh no! You don't want me as a diplomat. I am a paranoid suspicious spy at heart. 
But I can properly translate back and forth and give some opinion on intentions when a German writes English.
First to find out whether they are perfectly fine with English language and tell them we have a German (am I the only one? I think Kylearan is not on the team) on the team, that can help out.

Ok sounds good, I'll draft up a general greeting message in English and send it, mentioning we have a German member if they'd prefer some translation. Their team email is gwt.contact (at) gmail.com. I'm putting this here mostly for my sake as I had to go looking at CFC for their contact info. Wish I could edit Kyan's first post here and have an easy location for some of this stuff. Maybe I should open a thread that is a non-discussion thread that lists contact info, deals, etc with each opponent?
