Yep. And him planning on exacting vengeance on scooter could be an issue for scooter too. Depends on how crippling this is though.

Gotta say, Cairo's start is better than I expected.

Yeah its crazy fast. The Advance Start also turns down some the reporting content because there's less early micro and city planning to talk about.

Whomever can avoid the random attacks and just coast thru to the middle of the map i think wins this... So, Commodore?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

TBS has two attacks scheduled on him as best I can tell. I think if he loses both cities Scooter becomes the favorite, anything less and I still give him the nod.

Cairo has both neighbours settling up on him, though luck. Otoh that could mean that TBS gets more pressure than he can bear,.
Meanwhile Commodore has a lot of space left to his east, and with AT looking towards China he could get more than his fair share of that cake.

I'm not sure if I agree with him that the flat map wheel will stifle attacks. Of course most borders will be on chokepoints, but I expect a lot of naval action. The islands are pretty close to the cores, and they can shuffle ships easily through the channels on the spokes, so a lot of room for hide and seek and surprising manoeuvres

Loving Cornflakes' plan. Just very elegant and deserves to succeed...

True, but I'm not sure if that's worth the investment but we will see. On the other front I expect to see spear in time to deflect chariots from Cairo.
