[NO PLAYERS] The WW46 Lurker Thread

I've said earlier in the thread, that if people are still interested, I'd like to run a smaller game (9 players) or two after this one. I am thinking that maybe I can separate games out into a vets game and a newbies game, since we seem to have a good mix of both.

I don't think Hider is a strong role. It's pretty vanilla except your chance of dying in the night is a bit lower.

This version of Hider, which dies when hiding behind non-Town, is effectively a Weak Bulletproof Cop who can confirm town and breadcrumb scum upon a night death (barring other shenanigans) I’m curious that Brick didn’t post the full role details, which is what I’m used to.

I was hoping he was in the same camp as Bob in terms of just feeling irritated, and wanted to be able to argue in his favor if he was pushed today. I left a very obvious hint in that he was the last person I mentioned during the day, since apparently RB doesn’t like more elaborate breadcrumbs.

I was feeling irritated at times.

This will be interesting to watch. Was not expecting to be here today (figured the chances of me dying Sunday at noon WERE pretty high).

Okay, so you're actually the Weak Hider as per the wiki?  As in if you hide behind someone and survive, you confirm them as town.  Otherwise you die and hopefully your breadcrumb reveals who you hid behind (and thus confirm them as scum).  I don't see how anyone is going to be able to get that from reading the wiki article especially since it's not described as the normal variant of the role.  So I don't understand where Brick is going with this by withholding that information.

And yes, I agree that this variant of the role is stronger, name notwithstanding.

Yeah, Weak turns any role into a makeshift investigator, with the obvious drawback. Hider is especially fun to pair with it since you can ideally claim Weak Cop on D3-D4, clear some town, and then waste a mafia nightkill.

Man am I annoyed I died.

Brick, can you tell me if my target tonight would have returned anything if I lived? I feel like I had a pretty good scumdar this game - there were things I was holding back because I knew I couldn't give it all away with a PR. Obviously, I didn't hold enough back. frown
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

For the record, I was pretty sure Bob was town after everyone jumped on him that quick.

El-Grillo, why did you hide behind Cyneheard? Did you think he was less likely to be targeted than yourself? Or is there something more to your power than just letting you avoid a targeted kill on you?

Sorry, I didn't read enough before asking that. You hid to check on Cyneheard's alignment, good idea. And it worked out since he died anyways, but damn otherwise it would have been a bit of a waste without people knowing that you die from hiding behind scum...
