Dedlurker checking in. I'm first timing this.
I reallllly like Stonehenge. Doubly so if you can land a religion.
Is this Krillmod? Ie, are you going Stonehenge for the culture or the charismatic happy?

this is regular BTS. Actually, stonehenge is powerful for me for 3 reasons:
1) Culture
2) Charismatic happy
3) 3 xp for archery units, which is nice.

So. Much. Food.
Can I ask what your next city plant intentions are?

Oh right,... Native America. Wow that's pretty critical. How can you claim that you'll be 'ok' with the fail gold? Landing this is pretty much a game changer.
So I'm thinking that happy resources will be super critical. I'm hoping that you'll be trying to land that silver-furs within your next 1-2 cities?

silver/furs is either next or after the lake fish - pretty sure it's next, since it's probably my best commerce site.
the thing about it is that, other then the culture - I won' tneed the happy in every city and a lot of cities aren't ever building archers. And I can always build a monument if I really need it.
My core cities will definiltely want the happy and I'm definintely making an effort for it - before my 3rd city is out is a pretty big effort, i think. But it's not great or anything.
If this was land with fewer happy resources (I have relatively easy access to 3 pre-calendar ones, which is a lot), that would be something else.
Well, i do want it and it will be useful and I'm making a push for it.

Just giving you a hard time. Certainly, we'll surive without Henge if it comes to that.
I'm not sure why you've said that 'I won't need the happy in every city'? With this much food, you'd be hitting the happy cap in every city pretty quickly wouldn't you?
Sorry for the flurry of questions, just trying to guage your intent.
As for the LakefishCity, I'd like to make a pitch for relocating it. In its current location its making +8 food once a lighthouse is built and it has almost no production until workshops.
Option 1: 1 East. +9 food (with lighthouse) from the extra lake tile + shares the sheep. Can work the sheep immediately and fish is first ring.
Option 2: SE. Contingent on Henge. +8 food with lighthouse + sheep. Immediate Sheep + 2 whales.
Option 3: S-E-E. +11 food with lighthouse + sheep. Immediate sheep. 1 whale.
I'm not sure how you look at city placement. In single player, I hate putting cities too close but I've definately seen the wisdom of a (culture induced) fast, tight start from lurking multiplayer.
Last comment: A city N-N-N-N-W of the capital would be a strong city. I don't see any production locations in your dotmap as strong as this. Strong military pump location. 4 hills + 2 foods and it might allow us to support an ivory city up there.

kind of - I mean, our happy cap from pre-calendar resources is something like 8 without monuments (4 + charismatic + ivory+ fur+silver). With HR and a religion, that's 10, without forges or markets (markets will be very important to me, since I am financial and it's one of the few buildings that I build as fast as anyone)
Mainly, though - I know that if one of the ind civs really wants it, they get it. With this start, I really needed to make some workboats, so I make it when I can, hope to get it and figure out how to move forward if I don't. getitng stonehenge cannot be a strategy.
On Lakefish - 1 E is an option, yes. The problem with moving it south is I can't get a workboat in there.
1E has another advantage, which is defense. Plop a trireme there and Jowy's not boating it. And Jowy boating stuff is a worry for me.
I agree about production - am thinking: Whip WB, whip Lib, running scientists, whip in granary eventually, whip in lighthouse (sense a trend? We'll be doing a lot of pop-whipping with the extra happy...)

Right. Need to get the workboat into the lake. Well it sounds like I might have sold you on 1 East, if not for my own original reasons. I'm going to go ahead and give myself a pat on the back for that one. It's all about the second set of eyes and the thinking out loud. Glad I could help with that.
So how good is Jowy? I've seen that he played in PB2. Has he done much multiplayer since then?

I think he's done a couple. he seems to get screwed over - in PB2, they messed up his start and didnt' give him copper (the guy with Phalanxes!), so he couldn't be aggressive till later.
Here, he's the guy who is allowed to get War Elephants, but he's probably a long ways away from any ivory. Plus he's jammed into the tundra, while I have green land all around me.
I'd say he's a major threat. that said, he's creative and philo, which kind of screams "pyramids and libs!" So, we'll see.

Well let's just hope that history repeats itself,...the tundra might indicate that we're good on that count.
So what's the best way that I can help you? Were you interested in:
A. Opinions when asked a question.
B. An active second set of eyes
C. Help with sandbox/micro (never done this before, no guarantees on effort level)
D. Other.
