Sorry I haven't been updating - I still have the city lead, though others are close. I'm behind in tech, last in score, not strong in power... A new city adds something like 8-10 in maintenance costs, though once the rathaus goes in, the costs drop dramatically wink I'n in bureau and OR and trying to get a GP. Honestly, this has been done a bit on autopilot, but it's interesting to go into total builder mode...

I do have a city with iron and not one by 2 coppers - insane production. It'll be 1-turning HA soon....

so, it's getting close to time to implement phase #2 - which is go kill someone. I'm running out of space to spam settlers - I probably need another 6-8 workers, then it's rax/stables/HA or rax/cats. Dunno who i'm gonna kill - someone with some wonders I want. Commodore just built collosus, so he sounds like a good target wink plus, he's already built ziggurats everywhere, so I get my free rathauses.

Might need a big army, though...

Now I'm just building stables, barracks, and teching on engineering. Building some spears to upgrade to landsknecht. And then smash.

the landsknecht aren't primary hitters - but boy are they great stack defenders. There is literally nothing short of gunpowder units that can hurt them (well, catapults).

So, an update!!

I'm basically done with expansion, kicked off a GA. About to start the 100 turns of war phase of the game with a not very overwhelming assault on MH.

yeah - that particular city has no culture in it - I've basically ignored culture and culture producing buildings... and dazed didn't wink It gets a missionary this turn...

This may end up a short-lived invasion wink I picked up alpha in the interturn..... and everyone has feudalism but me. So, my small stack of HA will start bouncing off Longbows soon....

But I took 1 city smile Lost a chariot doing it, though.

MH asked for peace, which I may give, since he's got LB running everywhere. He's threatening a city with a galley, but I'll have an xbow finishing there next turn, plus a chariot in it, so I'm not worried about it.

Also, Dazed declared on Commodore. MH finished Notre Dame, so I got a lot of fail gold. I may just build wonders for fail gold now!!
