Not once the turn has begun. But of course you should be able to cancel the orders and have them stand still on the next turn.

FYI - Automated workers more before ANYTHING a human manually does, even a control-A. So as long as the worker is moved before 8 seconds are left on the turn timer (game imposes a delay if a unit moves within the last 8 seconds) no human player can snag them. The only exceptions might be barb/AI units.

There is an options preference to the effect of "New Workers Start Automated". Maybe you have that selected? Maybe one of the other players does and it somehow affected your worker too?

maybe you hit 'a' when a the worker was selected (or one of the other keyboard short cuts that automate).
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

It was most likely as Ruff says; I was probably trying to CTRL-A and missed the other key and didn't realise what had happened. Anyway, it's happened and I'm unhappy, but I'm trying to deal with my emotions and move on. wink
