Ceiliazul has asked that I ded-lurk him. Unfortunately, I already spoiled myself by looking at Plako's first draft of the map a few days ago. I would still like to ded-lurk him, obviously witholding any information I remember about the map. However, I need input from the other players on whether or not they would be fine with me doing this.
It's hard to say without knowing the map myself how much influence being spoiled will have. On some maps it's not a big deal at all, while on other maps it is a game long thing that would influence decisions like "Should we build an extra workboat to explore or not?" That is a fairly obvious example that I have no doubt that you could avoid spoiler information. There's some degree to which there will be other questions that might be less straightforward.
That said, I'm inclined to say it's not a problem. We're here to have fun and I trust that Oledavy will do his best not to spoil anything.

I can certainly trust you to self-censor, no issue there, I say go for it. Miss your commentary, though.

I leave this to the discretion of Dave and other lurkers. I'm not really that worried.
P.s. Dave, you traitor!

This is actually shaping up to be a very well reported game, with Kyan offering something interactive, your always great reporting, and I'll do my best to tow my line.
I'm already looking forward to reading threads postgame!

I just spent five minutes trying to think of an appropriate response that didn't involve the ridiculous, "Oh, it's already been broughten!" line. Nothing comes to mind which does bode well for the whole "bringing it" thing.

copied from the thread as it's relevant to you guys:
I am going to try and do one more 'content' post tonight, but then please be aware that I am going to be away this weekend. Every Friday evening, i do charity work in my local town centre. I do football training with 'trouble' kids to get them off the streets. Whilst they're there, they are free of their worries of their home lives etc. Most of them have ASBO's and the like, yet despite that, they're all good as gold whilst they're at training. Well, to try and get some discipline and some tenacity into them, i have enrolled them all for the Duke of Edinburgh courses. This weekend, i will taking them on a 30 mile hike around the country, camping out over Saturday evening. This is gonna be hectic enough as it is, however, i have a very important football match of my own on Saturday morning. My plan is to play my match, get knackered and then go for a 30 mile hike...
