Accidentally alt+F4'd this window rather than something else I had open... One the one time I typed out my report in Chrome rather than Notepad. Whoops. Let's try this again.
Turn came in, progress on my 2nd worker:
So where to settle my next city? I have a dilemma. See, the nearest two foods are cows and pigs, but... I don't want to research AH for awhile:
I'd like to go Wheel-Pottery-AH... But AH is a ways away, as it'll take another dozen turns just to get Pottery. So what do I do? I need to find a spot that isn't reliant on AH foods, which is
almost impossible. But here's my stab at it:
Positives:
1) Let's me share 3 good tiles between the capital (Wheat, farmed FP, and mined grass hill), letting me avoid being reliant on an AH source.
2) Has 3 forests to chop in its initial 9 tiles (adds 3 more after border pop but that won't be for awhile).
3) Let's me keep Pottery as priority over Animal Husbandry
4) On a river
Negatives:
1) I guess it's slightly cramped? But I don't see that as a big problem honestly, so I can't think of any other serious drawbacks other than a 4/0/1 tile as your best tile isn't great for a second city, but the pigs will be stronger when I eventually get it.
So this is the way to go. Top cities:
Someone's still at size 3, everyone else at 2. Looks like I may be first to 3 cities, because I'll found that second city next turn. Demos:
Looks like I'm the only one to farm that floodplains.
