Calm down. Werewolf ability is not scientific. It's very easy to suck at Werewolf.
As a side note, I find the fact that some of the posts on the Quicktopic are made by GASPAR as opposed to Gaspar to be absolutely hilarious.
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)
Hearthstone: ArenaDrafts Profile No longer playing Hearthstone.
Lol. No I'm just building up the bitterness for next game.

So that last minute vote wasn't supposed to be as last-minute as it was. I put it in about 10 minutes earlier and my internet does a hiccup. Thinking to myself "if there's ever a sign that you should vote for Gaspar, that's probably it" - but no, i whip out my phone and retype the post (with misspelling) and blow away all the village chances.
I don't know if I'm gonna be able to play this game for a while

Nobody seems to be too interested in denouement but since this was such a long f'n game I can't help it. Here's scattered thoughts in bulletpoints:
I don't actually think we as a wolf team played all that well. Meiz played a blinder and I think Molach did what Molach does quite well. But obviously thestick and Matt blew up early at bad times and I think Lewwyn and I played competently but nothing special. The village hasn't won a game without me as village since WW6. First point deflates my ego, second reinflates it. But I think maybe we need to think about this - wolves are winning a lot here because the no-PM, no-seer setup tips the balance. I think we should probably start using a lower scum percentage or something to tip the balance a bit. I don't want to see a return to seers. I really hate playing scum. I'm not good at it. What I am good at it is appealing for my innocence. I think I would have set myself up to be bussed if 1. thestick didn't die on day 1 followed by Matt early as well and 2. It wasn't Lewwyn and Meiz's first scum game here. I kind of wanted to win it for them, even if I didn't care all that much for myself. I mean I really don't enjoy playing scum. I don't think the village played all that badly. I think we had some good overarching metastrategy - setting up novice as village leader worked really well because while he had a lot to do with delivering all 4 dead mafia, I think it helped in letting everyone else be lazy. And lazy villagers are scum's best friend. But generally, when the baner succeeds 3 times and you lose your two strongest scum power-roles early, you should lose. And I don't care what anyone says, that Ichabod role is stupid OP. Its way better than a traditional baner because it protects yourself too. I feel for Pindicator and Waterbat. I think both drew scum their first game and I think it distorts how you play. You learn to play to survive first and scumhunt second so you always seem scummy. I think that's why I was able to resonate with both of them up until the end, because I get in that mindset easily. It wasn't a story, I really didn't have anywhere near enough time to apply to a game this large. Also game was way too long - this many players, we should do 24-hour days. The first day was especially worthless after everyone got into the wait until the last hour jumping nonsense. Meiz was really, really awesome on the last day. Seriously brilliant stuff. ![]() Village MVPs: zakalwe, Ichabod, novice Scum MVPs: waterbat, Meiz Honorable mention to TT and Catwalk who get derided often but both were right more often than not about several of us. I can't say the game was a lot of fun, but thanks for hosting and putting up with my abuse, Brick. My one criticism is that you just completely stopped doing write-ups - I get sometimes not having a time but they are one of the highlights of the game.
Mostly, the write-ups (which I had been helping with) were an exercise in extreme frustration as the village just randomly decided to swap to someone out of the blue five minutes from the deadline.
