I am away from now till tomorrow evening. I hope and expect that I will be able to play, but even if not there shouldn't be really a hold-up as I played my turn today already and I think my spot should be in the evening normally, so I should get to it tomorrow in my "normal" time-slot.

Hey guys, I just tested something and realised that what is written in the start-post about map-size (40x32) is wrong. The world is 32x32. Thats imo also what was agreed upon (BRick imo told us that with 4 players he would make the world 32x32), but just so we are all on the same page I thought I should mention it.

I've also got a question about the spy ban - I just realised we have Espionage Points to use against each other - is building a spy disabled or do we just make sure that we don't do it?

You just don't build them. Together with no TT that obviously means that Alphabet is much less desirable (of course you can still use it to determine which techs your opponents have, but you can do that via demographics and score-reading as well).

I had to open this save twice because the game froze the first time. I hope this doesn't cause any problems (I don't know why it would, but just in case).

I'm going to be out of civ-contact this Saturday and Sunday. I can probably get a lurker to play a turn or two for me, but if anyone else is going to be pushed for time how does everyone feel about slowing the pace over Christmas? I'm not suggesting a pause, just post here if you can't play for a day or two and play when you can.

If everyone else will be fine I'll sort out some cover so we can continue uninterrupted.
